ESTA Charge ($14!) & Date Confirmed

I think there has been a lot of strain on the system. It is possible that if you can get it sorted this morning you may avoid the fee. I am not sure at what time they are considering it to be 'today'. I doubt it was midnight (I see you have been up all night )

According to MSE the charge was coming in at 5am our time (midnight in various places in the US ;)).

That makes sense. I worded my post a bit unclearly, but I thought they would work on US midnight, not GMT (logical deduction) ... but had no idea what timezone they would use. Wow, they really pushed it as early as they could with EST - cheeky!!

The charge is now on the ESTA site $14 payable by credit card only....

Managed to get ours done last night took us about 3 hours it was a n'mare but our own fault for leaving it till the last day..!

Me too, I'm on the boards everyday so I saw all the reminds and I also took the time out to remind all my friends and family to do theirs and then completely forgot to do mine till yesterday:sad2:

We are a family of 6, DH has a US visa and youngest Son's passport is due to run out before our next trip so I could only do applications for 4 of us and it literally took me 4 hours to do. I had to keep refreshing pages, the re-loading then refreshing again. Cant understand why yesterday was so busy :rolleyes1
