Do you know if you have the ESPN channel in your rooms? My DH is thinking about football  I hope not :rotfl:

I remember 3 different ESPN channels of some description at SSR last month :)

:goodvibes

Good news for him, bad news for you (possibly). ESPN, ESPN2, EPSN Classic and ESPN News are all on the TV Guide at Disney hotels. Also ESPNU (College based) and ESPN Desportes (Spanish) if you go into the really high numbered channels. Most off-site hotels have the first two channels at the very least as well from my experience.

However, you might want to warn him not to expect too much English football. 99% of it will be the American kind.

The game he wants to watch is on ESPN in England so i assume it will be on in Disney?

Wouldn't count on it. Most "soccer" is actually shown by Fox Sports in the US with ESPN only having a handful of games, many of which are aren't actually the ones they show over here. For example this coming weekend, ESPN UK are showing Sunderland v Arsenal on Saturday, but the only game I can see on the ESPN US schedule is Stoke v West Ham, which is actually a Sky game over here.

I'm taking a wild guess and thinking he wants to see Bolton v Man Utd?

Here is the current list of live or delayed English football being shown on US channels for the next few weeks. It may not be complete as more games could get added later and I know that many of these are repeated at various times later in the week (and not always first thing in the morning as well!)

Sept 18th 7:45am - Stoke City vs West Ham United -ESPN2, ESPND (Live)
Sept 18th 10:00am - Everton vs Newcastle United - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Sept 19th 8:30am - Manchester United vs Liverpool - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Sept 19th 12:30pm - West Bromwich Albion vs Birmingham City - Fox Soccer Plus (Delayed)
Sept 21st 2:45pm - Tottenham Hotspur vs Arsenal - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Sept 22nd 2:30pm - Scunthorpe United vs Manchester United - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Sept 25th 7:45am - Manchester City vs Chelsea - ESPN2, ESPND (Live)
Sept 26th 7:00am - Bolton vs Manchester United - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Sept 26th 9:05am - Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Aston Villa - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)
Oct 3rd 8:30am - Manchester City vs Newcastle United - Fox Soccer Plus (Live)

However, to watch anything that is on Fox Soccer Plus, he'll have to go to the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk, or find somewhere else that has that channel - you can't get it in your room.

Tell your DH he is going to be waaaaay too busy to watch football ....! ;)

Now thats why i love DIS.You cant get better service than this:thumbsup2

PS Do you have next weeks lottery numbers;)

Channel 57 in the rooms is a Spanish ESPN channel. This is good for getting up to date football scores and news. It helps if you can speak Spanish, but the scores are easy to spot as they run across the bottom of the screen.
