One more question for those who have used the Passport Plus passes. Is the ESPN Zone card only good for games or is it good for food?

We are traveling with our 6yr old twins and I am not sure I want to use our time playing games at the ESPN club. I would appreciate any help anyone could give me. Oh, is the ESPN a separate card or is the Passport mark somehow?

Thanks and have a great night.

I don't think this will answer your question completely, but we had ESPN cards as part of a package a little over a year ago. We had to redeem coupons for the cards at ESPN, and they were only for games (you insert the card into the game and it deducts the cost of the game).

Btw, if you're planning to eat at ESPN and you never have before, we found the portions to be quite large!!

we used these in Oct. 2001 and we had a blast! We took about 45 min- 1 hr to use them up, it was a nice break from the crowds! The games are kind of high tech, not what you usually see at your local arcade! My DS was 7 and he had a great time!:jester:

On the back of your Passport Plus passes it should be printed (top left corner) $10 card at ESPN Zone...

All you have to do is go the the counter and they will issue your game cards and they will scribble out (with a pin) that portion on your park pass...no coupon is needed.

On ours they used a pen (instead of a pin!) to scribble them out! As far as I could tell, you just got a game card. This was on a separate floor from the dining area and seemed to be a whole different venture. Dining area had some long lines on weekends but you could just go up to the game area. These games were really for older kids/adults, but my 7 year old had more than enough to do. They had an entire bowling game (maybe half size) that cost 16 of your 40 credits but you played a whole ten frames. This occupied him for a long time. Plus a putting (golf) game, horse riding, etc. After standing in lines, running from place to place, it was a nice (if loud) break for them to run around and do what they wanted. With 6 year olds, you might have to follow them, but I'm sure you could find enough to do! Also a rock climbing wall if they're 48 inches was 24 credits. Most games were 4-8 credits so 40 credits ($10) goes pretty quickly!

I hope your AAA tickets worked well for you. Did you use the $8.75 breakfast vouchers for breakfast? I had posted a question on whether anyone had actually used them for lunch instead.

The Candycane has a continental breakfast which is good for us. I would rather used the vouchers for lunch. By the way, where did you stay?

Have a great night.

We stayed at the Embassy Suites North near downtown Anaheim. I did a review of it in the reviews section - we really liked it. It had a full breakfast so yes, we did use the vouchers for lunch. Went to Club Buzz and they were very knowledgeable of them - just said we had $8.75 credit per voucher, but no change returned. But you could use as few as you wanted at a time - so if your meals weren't enough (ie buying $5 kids meals), you could save the extra vouchers. Also, it didn't have to be a one for one exchange (one meal per voucher). She just added up our total, then subtracted the vouchers. She said you could probably use them at other restaurants in the park, but we didn't try and just used them up there (bought some extra marshmallow krispies and chocolate covered cheesecake - what a sacrifice!)

This is just what I needed to know. I guess, I too, will have to suffer through the marshmellow krispie treats. Oh - such a price to pay - LOL!

Thanks and have a nice day,

Pam
