ESPN Weekend

Just got off the phone with the man...I am trying to talk him into going to the EPN Weekend next month.

In his mind, we 'just got back'. Umm, yeah in NOVEMBER! He was never one to take a yearly vacation, never mind more than that but its just a weekend!! And now we have the AP's and the TIW card burning a hole in our pockets, not to mention the credit of $100+ I have taunting me from Jetblue. I explained whereas its just a weekend, and all of the intial pay outs are taken care of, with the flight credit and the DVC points we have, we could easily do it!!

My son - who will be 18 in April may not be thrilled as he wouldnt be going and that does make me sad but he cant take any time from school. BUT I will tell him I am planning an 18th birthday trip for him hopefully this summer sometime. Besides, he wouldnt want to go without his GF and she wouldnt be able to.

Can anyone tell me their experiences with this weekend and where the best place to stay is?

I've gone the past 2 years, but unfortunately couldn't take off from my new job this year - but DH is still going. He LOVES it! He is a big sports fan. He already has tickets for the live tapings of the Mike and Mike show, has the ticket for the Atlanta Braves spring training game, and is doing the 5k run again. He pretty much parks himself at the hat for most of the day. When the kids and I went, we would do our own thing while he did the sports stuff - the weather was great and crowds were low. We all really had a great time!

Sorry - forgot to answer your question about best place to stay. Because most of the events take place at DHS, I would say one of the Epcot resorts would be the most convenient. We were at BW one year and BC the other and were able to go back and forth the DHS many times throughout the day. Hope it works out for you!
