Hello!
I was wondering if anyone knows if ESPN club takes reservations on the weekend? i was looking at the disney website for the month of September and noticed every Saturday and Sunday is darkened meaning "no availability" ...wondering if they don't take reservations those days because of football or maybe all the reservations are gone because of football lol?

Has anyone ever tried to walk up on a Saturday or Sunday at opening time during football season? how did that work out for you?

Thanks for any info!!!=)

They do not take weekend reservations, save for special events. They only take reservations for weekday lunch. Weekends are first come, first served.

See https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/boardwalk/espn-club/:

Revel in the adrenaline-filled atmosphere of a stadium, but be sure to arrive early on game days—even with a whopping 13,000 square feet, this place fills up fast! Seating is first-come, first-served and based on availability. However, you can now book weekday lunch reservations from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM—on Mondays through Fridays only. We don’t take reservations for dinners (or for weekend lunches) due to the unpredictability of game schedules.

Unless something changed, they have something special during football season where you can reserve a table for your selected game and pay a per person food/drink minimum. I think you have to call the restaurant directly to reserve.

Yes, this. You book for a game time, so on avg a 3 hour slot. The cost is either $50 or $75 and you get that back as a credit to food/drink. We've never had issues exceeding that cost :) but we both drink.

But those reservations aren't offered in extreme advance, and they don't book all games.

I think they book all NFL games. We did book our first one several months in advance. 3 at least. This was for a December date. But may not open till closer to NFL season kicks off

Nor sure what they do for college. We go to those in person so never tried to see what they offer

I'd expect them to be closer in for NFL, because while we know who is playing who what weekend, and Thursday vs. Sunday games and etc., those Sunday games are not necessarily committed to times right now.

Same with some of the college stuff. Is it an 11AM? A 2:30? The late matchup? Depends! Can change the week before!

Yes, college changes right up till the week before sometimes. That may well be why they don't offer the package for College, if they don't.
NFL gets set sooner, except for the few Flex games they have each season. And those are late season games. Only on Sunday night.
