ESPN Weekend Questions

There does not seem to be tons of info out there about the ESPN Weekend. I am taking my husband this year for the first time and it’s our first time to DW since our honeymoon without kids. Anyway, he’s a real sports nut and I am sure will love it. We are trying to decide what, if any, other things to schedule. Since we are without the impatient DDs 2 & 4, we though maybe the Keys to the Kingdom tour or something like that. I am just not sure what the schedule is like for the weekend. Will we want to stay at MGM the whole weekend or is it more of a thing that will keep us happy for the day, but not a whole weekend. We arrive later on Thursday and leave mid day Sunday. Any advice or experiences from previous ESPN weekends would be appreciated.

Are these events things that are held on certain days/times or on all days? I am wondering if we will really miss something if we take ½ day off to visit another park. As an example, Do they offer the Who Wants To Be A Milllionare Play It! everyday or just the 1st day of the event? Same with the interviews and Q&A sessions?

My dilemma is that I am not a huge sports fan and my DH is. I have marketed this trip to him as ESPN Weekend, so I don’t think it’s fair to schedule other things which will require us to miss something that he is really interested in that is only happening at the time we are scheduled to be somewhere else. Am I making any sense? As an example, if they have a Q&A with Jerry Rice only once during the weekend and it is at 5pm on Saturday, I would hate to have scheduled at massage at 5pm on Saturday. Unfortunately, they don’t have a schedule of the weekend and it does not seem like one will be available until that weekend.

Any assistance/feedback would be appreciated.

I went to ESPN the weekend last year and I thought it was great, there's all sorts of events and attractions. My favorite was where audience members try and become sportscasters and 3 NFL players judge them. Some of the players I saw were John Lynch, Hines Ward, Adam Viniatieri, Jerry Rice,David Robinson,John Smoltz and a bunch of others.

Unfortunately I doubt there will be a Who wants to be a Millionaire sports edition this year as that show is permanently closed to make way for the new ride Midway Mania!! I saw this last year with Linda Cohn and Dee Brown and Howie Schwab as one of your lifelines.
