Hip Hip Hooray!! We arrive for our very first trip to Disney in just 5 days!! :yay: We are planning to go to ESPN for dinner that night - we don't have ressies though. Will that be a problem??

We are doing the DDP - will I be able to get pastries from World Showcase bakeries with my snack credits and bring them to our room for breakfasts?

Thanks for your help!

I believe most if not all World Showcase bakeries offer pastries for snack credits. However, the World Showcase does not open until 11 AM, so it can be assumed you are interested in late breakfasts.

I don't think ESPN take reservations so shouldn't be a problem! Have fun!

ESPN doesn't take reservations and when we tried to get in a few years ago it was packed and the wait time was an hour! There were 2 big football games on at the time so I think that was the problem but otherwise I think it should be fine.

We went on our honeymoon in 2002 and waited about half hr.We are going back in Sept with the kids and hopefully have the same wait or shorter.

Thanks for the info - I can handle a half hour to an hour wait. That's pretty typical anywhere!! I'll have to ask DH if there are any sporting events happening that night that could draw a crowd.

As for the pastries - I was hoping to buy several at once and bring them back to the room for breakfast the next day or two.

I don't believe they take reservations. During a big game, it is very crowded. Otherwise, we've never had a problem at lunchtime. Have never tried it for dinner.

We went last July and had to wait about 30 minutes. Not bad. The whole family enjoyed the trip.

By the way: I'm a huge buffalo wing fan and ordered them at ESPN. When they arrived, I was amazed. They were the biggest wings I'd ever seen. I was in Heaven. Then ... they were the worst tasting wings I'd ever had. I was in Hell. Huge, but horrible. Ironic.

Just to warn you. This is not an ESPN Zone. It's an ESPN Club. It's much smaller than a Zone. Basically, it's a restaurant with bar seating that has lots and lots of TV turned onto sports.

If you don't want to wait an hour, you can be seated in the bar area. Same menu.
