Do you need to pay admission at ESPN's Wide World of Sports to eat at the ESPN Grill?

If you go to the restaurant at the BWI no you do not pay for entrance to the restaurant

I have always been allowed to dine at the WWoS ESPN Grill by just telling the turnstile attendant that I only wanted to go to the restaurant,dine and then exit WWoS.

I did this as recently as December,so unless there has been a policy change you should be good to go.

The policy has changed, you must now pay for admission to dine at the ESPN Grill

DO NOT make a special trip to WWoS to dine there. It is not worth it. It's just sandwiches and the such. It is not like ESPN at Boardwalk.

so my family has to pay so we can pay to eat at espn ? is that right ?

we have the DDP but if we have to pay to get into the resturant, we might just go somewhere else

There are 2 different places being discussed here. I don't know anything about the one located inside the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

The ESPN Club is located in the Boardwalk area - you do not need to pay admission to eat there - and it does accept the Dining Plan - but you cannot make ADR's.
