Escaping the New England winter! Feb 2011 (Completed!)

I love the Mansion! Definitely one of my favorites! I wish I had seen the interactive queue. It opened about 3 weeks after I left.

We walked through Fantasyland...

We took one of the side paths along the castle to get back to Main Street.

It was time for lunch!

There were no characters in the area when we got there so we went up to get food.

Yummy!

We found a recipe for that pasta. My mom makes it a lot. There's actually some left over in the fridge from a couple days ago.

My mom was getting dessert when Piglet came by, so a CM took this picture.

As usual it was a great meal! I love the food, the characters, and the whole atmosphere! Definitely my favorite Disney meal.

Sorry I haven't been updating again! I really am trying to do better I'll do an update tonight and I'll try to squeeze one in next week. I'm probably only 2 or 3 updates away from the end

Tomorrow I'm going to a Red Sox game with my mom and then I'm going to the Cape with my dad for a few days! And I have college orientation next friday I can't believe that's happening already!

After lunch, we went to grab fastpasses for Peter Pan. At least I think that's what we did. My notes say we went on it and I know we didn't go through the stand by line! While we were waiting for our fastpass time we went to have some fun in Tomorrowland.

We walked by the Fantasyland construction walls.

We went to the Laugh Floor. That show makes me laugh so hard My mom's face ended up on the screen in the beginning when everyone's coming into the theater, with the caption "She can burp the alphabet" That's the second time that's happened, except last year it was a different caption.

After that, we went to the Carousel of Progress.

When we were done, it was time for our Peter Pan fastpasses! Before we left Tomorrowland we grabbed two Space Mountain fastpasses for me to use later. Now this is where I apparently put my camera away for a couple of hours I guess I got distracted by all of the magic! Good thing I took notes! Apparently we went on Peter Pan, then went to Mickey's Philhar Magic. After that we went on the TTA to kill the remaining time before my Space Mountain fastpasses were ready. I rode Space Mountain twice while my mom relaxed on a bench, enjoyed the weather, and people watched Since we were flying Southwest Airlines, we had to pick up our boarding passes at guest relations. We still had about a half hour before we could pick those up so we took another ride on the TTA, and then walked through the shops on Main Street to get back to the front.

After we got our boarding passes, we secured our spots for Main Street Electrical Parade, Let the Memories Begin, and Wishes We got a great spot right in the main hub near the castle. We were about an hour early, but the spot was worth it and it was nice to sit down, rest our feet, enjoy the atmosphere...and eat some ice cream!

Fun story. Remember the night before(Saturday), when we went back to WL because I felt a little sick? The schedule I looked at when I was planning said that there wouldn't be a MSEP on Sunday, so Saturday ended up being the only night we could see it. I was so bummed when we missed it because no one really knows how long it's staying at MK and I had never seen it. Well Sunday morning when we got to MK, I looked at the schedule and it said there would be a MSEP that night

I really liked MSEP, but I still like Spectro more. Let the Memories Begin and Wishes were amazing once again.

MK was having EMH and it was our last night so of course we stayed! We escaped into the Laugh Floor while the crowds flooded out of the park. After that we went to hunt down some food, which wasn't easy because most of the restaurants were closed We ended up at Pecos Bill's.

My camera doesn't take good pictures at night so I put it away.

We took a ride on the Jungle Cruise. That ride is really fun at night! Then we walked right on to Splash Mountain I love the view from up there at night. Big Thunder had a 5 minute wait so I went on twice while my mom called my grandma to check in. After that we were started to get tired. It was around 11:30 at this point and we had been in MK for about 14 hours straight. We took one ride on Snow White because I knew it was closing soon and I wanted to say bye, then we hopped on the boat back to WL.

This was definitely the best day of the trip. I looove spending a whole day at MK

Next time: Soaking up as much magic as we can before we have to meet the Magical Express

Sorry it's taken so long to update this! Most people who were reading my report read MeMom and Jill's, so you probably all saw that my mom had surgery last week. She's doing very well but I've been busy taking care of her, doing errands, etc.

Time for my last half day This will probably be take two updates to finish.

Monday, February 28

While we were packing up and getting ready to check out of our room, I took a couple pictures of the decorations in the room.

We grabbed some breakfast at Roaring Forks before we checked out.

I miss those chocolate croissants!

We went back to the room, took our suitcases downstairs and checked out We left our bags with bell services and headed for the bus stop!

When we got to MK, we took the train to Frontierland, hoping for a short wait for Splash Mountain.

Luckily, the wait was only about 10 minutes

I took some pictures while we were riding.

No flash = blurry pictures!

It may look brighter than usually in this picture...

...that's because we got stuck and the lights came on We were only stuck for about 5 minutes. It was nice and cool in there!

I couldn't believe the wait times were so short when your crowd pictures were so craaaazy!!! All of those people reminded me of last June!

I am so sad that I can't ride Splash Mountain this trip -- but it was really nice to get to see all of your pictures!!! I like how you took pics during the ride!

The pictures from Crystal Palace were so good!!! I love your shirt by the way! I actually bought that from DisneyStore.com a few months ago!!! It's one of my favorite Disney shirts! My favorite character is Eeyore, too, just like your moms!!!

I liked seeing the food pics from Chef Mickey's! I am really regretting cancelling that ADR and the one I had for Le Cellier. All the restaurants we're eating at this trip are new for us, so I guess I should save something to try out next time! BUT I'm still mad that I cancelled CM's! I've actually been trying to get it instead of Kona for dinner right before MNSSHP -- but I think alot of other people had that same idea! I'll keep checking right up until the last minute! Those Mickey domes look yummy!!! I love the little ears on them!

I heard they have them at Main Street Bakery but I've never been (can you believe it?) We always stop at the ice cream shop instead of the bakery.

I've been trying to get this post up for a while. Our power was out for an hour!

After Splash Mountain, we walked towards Adventureland for our next priority of the day! Since we only had a few hours, we made a very short list of things we wanted to do.

Not a lot of people around!

We hopped in a short line for Pirates, and then went here...

...for my very first dole whip!

I loved it. I wish I had one right now since it's 101 degrees here

After finishing our delicious treats, we headed for the Mansion!

That was our 3rd priority for the day. We had said if we got all of those done and still had time, we'd go to the Laugh Floor again, so that's what we did!

Hi Hope! I'm so glad I still have somebody reading this!

I tried to take more pictures on rides this year. It was fun! The indoor ones don't really come out well but they're still fun to look at!

I always want to try a lot of new restaurants but I just can't stop going to my favorites We try to do at least 2 new ones per trip; this year it was Kona and Via Napoli!

I loooove the chocolate croissants. They do have them at the Main Street Bakery. I went there for the first time last year and got one. They taste even better at MK than they do at the Wilderness Lodge That could have something to do with the fact that I was walking down Main Street on my way to ride Dumbo for the first time in 10 years :yes: That was such a good moment from my 2010 trip! I never got there in last year's report though

I'm hoping they still have The Magic, The Memories, and You show going when we're there in January. It looks AMAZING! I teared up watching it on YouTube before. I'm also trying to figure out how long they have the castle lights up for. We are literally JUST missing the Osborne lights -- they end the 3rd, I think, and we arrive the 4th.

The Magic, The Memories, and You is absolutely amazing! I'm sure they'll still have it then. It's way too popular to get rid of it that soon. I cry every time I see it, both in person and on Youtube

I did like MSEP, but I don't really care if I see it again. I miss Spectro!!!

I can't wait to see the HM queue and the new hitchhiking ghost scene at the end!!!

I've needed to get a new laptop for months. My old one was getting really slow and it wasn't worth fixing at this point, so I finally broke down and got a new one today! It'll be helpful to have a new laptop for college, so that's good.

We're leaving for our annual trip to Vermont this weekend and I still have to pack, so I'll be reeeeally busy tomorrow, but I might finish up the report if I get a chance! If not, I'll do it when we get back!

Oh my goodness...I swear I will finish this report After I got back from Vermont, we got hit by Hurricane Irene and lost power for a week. Since we got it back I've been so busy with college. I'm gonna try to finish this up some time this week if I don't get to it tonight!

I'm FINALLY finishing this!!!! I can't believe this has taken me so long

When I left off, several months ago we had just eaten at Casey's and were about to head back to WL to meet the ME.

Before we left we watched the end of Dream Along With Mickey.

I love these trees. We have one in our front yard.

Time to make the sad walk down Main Street to the exit...

I quickly went up to the train station to get a few more pictures of Main Street.

Finally, we had to walk out of MK

Our boat back to WL had a pirate flag

The CM on the boat gave everyone a Mickey sticker. We ended up with a couple extras because the other people in the row didn't want theirs. I'm pretty sure I gave one of the extras to Meg when I saw her on my birthday

It was finally time to go out and meet the ME

The ME bus ended up being a cruise line bus. I wished we were actually going on a cruise instead of going home

One last Disney picture, saying bye to the WL through the porthole window.

Then it was finally time to leave and end a wonderful trip. It was definitely one of the best WDW trips of my life. We had a great DIS meet with MeMom and Jill(BrooklynnsMommy). It was an amazing trip!

I have one last picture of the sunset, taken from the plane on the way home.

That's the end! It's only taken 7 months to finish I know I said at the beginning of this report that it would probably be a while before we took another trip, but there is a chance we may be going in January I really hope it happens! We'd be able to meet up with Meghan(Megablocks). We're already planning a Boston DIS meet in a couple weeks but of course nothing beats a DIS meet in WDW
