Finale thoughts--
Trip - April 13-19
Cast:
Tall Guy- tall, dark, and handsome
short guy- 7 year old version of tall guy- just missing some teeth
photo gal- Happy scrapbook mom
Just some final thoughts on our trip.
Crowds-- We've always gone "off" season so this was interesting. Our first part of the trip was not crowded at all. The second part however, made me very glad for things like deoderant and tested my need for personal space.
That said, I found that very few people were cranky or hard to deal with.
Fast Pass is our friend-- Loved Fast Pass. Once again, saved our dear family a lot of time! Kept Tall guy and short guy happy!
We loved AKL! I found the bus service to be fairly good with the exception of one evening - later found out that there had been a bus breakdown-- no problem! I personally like the calmness and overall quietness of this resort. Besides, short guy and I were totally into the animals.
The Great Escape-- The great escape of 2 female Nyala's provided some fun and excitement for our trip. We called it the great Waterbuck/Nyala show down! Only animals can provide this kind of entertainment.
The Quest-- the Quest for the Holy Grail (grail, grail, grail, who) was funny and full of Rubish
The Earing attack- We learned that young girls with plastic clip on earings should not lean over the balcony at AKL! The family below us had such a child and she did such a thing and lost her earing. The earing was promptly attacked and dismantled by a hornbill. Luckily Tall guy saved the day by calling the front desk and reporting it. Luckily, the hornbill was saved by the keepers, unfortunately the earing was a total loss for the little girl.
Water, Water everywhere- For some reason, Disney has a thing with water. Photo gal is not in any of the photo's due to the dousing she received at nearly every turn.
Lesson learned by the 2nd day, don't waste time on hair trying to look cute and buy a good hat!
Lots of fun! Food was very good at Coral Seas, Harry Ramsden, Mama Melrose, Boma's, and Crystal Palace. Good Baklava (sp?) at Morocco. Loved the raspberry/lemonaid slushes available everywhere!
Had a blast! Can't wait to go back!
