I wish I could answer that question...but I can't.

I think you can just let your planner know, and then get her the info once everything is confirmed. Also--you can only book 7 months out? My fiance and I are DVC members, and I know we can book like 11 months out at our home resort, and like 7 months out on resorts outside of our home resort. So--I think it really depends. If you're not going through one of the exchanges to rent points, and your friend is just booking you a room using THEIR points--they should be able to get you in NOW at their home resort. (Though, if you're trying to get into a "cheaper" resort that requires less points, I guess there's the possibility it's not in their home resort).
I am having a Wishes wedding in December 2014, and we're using DVC points too. We're in the boat of where we can't book the rooms until like 7 months out (because we ARE going outside of our home resort for booking). What my planner told me was to book a room block for the "minimum" right now, and then just to give our confirmation to our wedding planner once they're booked. There is a time where you HAVE to get that information to them, otherwise you can't release the rooms you've already claimed in your room block and Disney will charge you for them.
Unfortunately, with Escape, I'm not sure how that works. With Wishes, we're required to book a whole lot more rooms than the Escape brides. We basically booked in a room block a minimum of 10 nights (because we have guests that won't be using our DVC points), and then we'll hit our 25-room night minimum by using DVC for the rest and giving the info to the planner later. We had to be really careful with the block we picked though, because they'll only let you "drop" so much of a percentage of room nights.
Ask your planner! I'm sorry I wasn't much help!

Just...that's been my experience and what we're doing. Hopefully it's helpful to you in your situation.
