Hello everyone! I have been lurking here for a while and am now ready to start planning my Fairy Tale, but have a few questions for all you experts first. :goodvibes:

I read on here a few weeks ago that with the Escape Weddings that you could now add up to 5 people for a flat fee. When I called Disney they said this is not the case, that the count was still 18 plus Bride/Groom. I was wondering if this was something that was going to be released for next years dates, or if this was a misunderstanding.

Also, they said the pricing had not been released yet, but I could have swore that I read that it was going up to $4750 for venues other than the wedding pavillion. Can anyone confirm this?

TIA!! :)

I received an email from my planner, and it does say that the 2010 prices for venues other than the pavilion will be $4750. I am not sure about the adding the extra people....I read it on here as well, and was hoping it was true incase we go over!

The extra people is more of my concern right now as well. We have exactly 25 people that would be coming, and I would hate to have to upgrade to a Wishes for only 5 people.

Are you planning a reception at all? I'm very interested in hearing everyone's ideas so maybe I can get some inspiration!

Right now it is very difficult to pin DFTW down about those 5 extra people. The announcement was originally made along with one that Escape couples could now get a complimentary room night by blocking 25 or more room nights, just like Wishes couples. However, that perk has since been discontinued, and I'm wondering if the 5 extra people change will be similarly reversed.

However, I wouldn't lose hope until you speak with an actual Wedding Consultant - the people who answer that first call to DFTW are notoriously out of the loop, so I wouldn't worry if the one you talked to hadn't heard of any changes. (Oh, and yes, Escape pricing for 2010 has been released and it does go up $250 in 2010.)

Thanks so much Carrie! One last question for today :lmao: Do you actually have to start the planning when you talk to the consultant or can you just talk to them for more info?

It is TRUE for an Escape package for an additional $500 you can add 5 people. The breakdown would be as follows:

Bride & Groom = 2
+
23 guests
---------------------
TOTAL: 25 GUESTS

I hope this helps. I believe it includes an extra bottle of Cuvee.

You can definately just talk to them first:thumbsup2 I believe in the beginning you talk to a wedding consultant who answers all your questions and then after you sign the contract and put the deposit down you are assigned a wedding planner!

OK, I confirmed that the extra guests are still an option. As Honey said, it brings you to a total of 25 people including the bride and groom and includes enough Fairy Tale Cuvee (or sparkling cider, if you prefer) for the extra guests.

You can talk to a wedding sales consultant before you book - just know that they are really busy with booked weddings and might not be as responsive as one would like. :)

The person you talk to on that first call is a Sales Lead Associate. They pass you on to a Wedding Consultant, who acts as a sales manager and can tell you everything you need to know about the sales stuff - booking, the contract, locations, etc. Two weeks after you send in your deposit you'll be assigned a Wedding Service Coordinator who helps you with the cake flavors, music, photography, etc.

Thanks so much guys! This board has really been a lifesaver so far, and I don't even have a Consultant! :rotfl:

I'm going to call back first thing in the morning and try again. The girl I had last time wasn't the friendliest person. I'll let ya'll know if I get a better response this time.

Thanks again!
