Escape wedding 4 night minimum swan and dolphin?

We are booked to spend the first week of our wedding trip at the swan and dolphin, I am guessing this does not count towards your 4 night minimum because the resort is not Disney operated?we are intending to rent dvc points for a couple of nights following our 7 night cruise, so I only have two to make up!

That's correct. Your stay at the Swan/Dolphin won't count as they aren't Disney owned hotels. Have you booked your date with Disney yet? I think they need the confirmation number for your hotel stay as that goes on your contract.

Thanks for clarifying! Were an escapecouple do we can't book until April! I spoke to dftw today and they said it was fine to have the wdw room requirements in two seperate reservations as were going for a 7 night Disney cruise as part of our honeymoon (again I'm assuming that a disney cruise doesn't count towards the room requirement!).
