Hi
I am new to this board and I am planning an Escape Vow Renewal for me and my wonderful husband in Autumn 2010.
Any advice for an older lady (46 years old) on planning a small (maybe about 15 guests) intimate ceremony and reception. Has anyone done anything similar from a distance (I live in the UK). Any advice would be gratefully received
Hugs
Joanne

Hi! :wave2: If you check out the two sub-forums at the top of the page, you'll find lots of trip reports and planning journals for small Escape weddings and vow renewals, many of them by British couples (and not all of us on this board are spring chickens, either! :rotfl:).

These will give you an idea of what's involved and how things went. The main thing for UK couples seems to be to deal directly with Disney instead of buying a package through a holiday-booking agency, since they will act as a middleman and can considerably slow down the planning process. Disney works with a large number of UK couples each year, so they know the ins and outs.

We had an Escape VR at Sea Breeze Point on April 8 this year for our 25th anniversary. We had 12 guests plus ourselves, our ceremony was at 2.30pm, we had dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at 5.30pm, and a Wishes Cruise on the Grand 1 that evening. It was an amazing experience! We booked and dealt directly with DFTW, my planner was Tanis Armstrong and she was wonderful.

Here's a link to my photos, the photographer was Randy Chapman.
