Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

NC Belle - best I can figure out it is around Beverly Hills or Morovia Walther. I drove past a HUGE/old cemetary to get there.

Hi Guys, we're baaacckkk. Had a great time. Only rained one time during the Indiana Jones show and they cut it short. Sam was in it so at least they didn't cut the extras scenes. We both made it into the backlot tour show too. We were the goofy deck hands...

It was freaking hot-poor Dana!! but the waterparks were awesome. Have never done them before. I even did Summit Plummit! Had a blast.

I did get news on my drive down that my Uncle passed away. Ugh everytime I go to Doseny I get some type of crappy news on the way there. Well this time I not only got it on the way down but the way home too. Pete got extended for 6 more weeks. I was so looking forward to him coming home early Oct. He will miss our next rip to WDW the end of November. It will be just Lauren and I. and her b day trip

that is the scoop.

RRBB glad you glad fun. I love Pirates in CA. The ride is so much better IMO.

TS Claudiia hit us hard last night but we still have power. Have a ton of yard work to do when it clears up a bit.

Have a great day

welcome home CMOM and RRBB.

glad you had a great time..

CMOM< sorry about Pete being extended and your Uncle passing... wow that is too much to handle all at once..

:surfweb:

For everyone that's on Facebook - I found this application called Scramble. It's kinda like Boggle (if you know that game) and you can compete against other Facebook people. I've really become addicted to it, and have realized there are many words in the dictionary that I have no idea about  Give it a try sometime - you may like it :)

I had a great day on Sunday.
I attempted to float in the pool, and then my sun went away.
I still stayed outside with the girls, and just relaxed on the pool deck :)
It was a nice day!!!! :goodvibes

Yesterday I worked and then Stephanie had soccer practice.
She's really enjoying soccer again, and I hope she does well, because she can get frustrated pretty easily. She's never been the try try again type person (I wish she was, because this frustrates me, because I am a keep trying type of person).

All our travelers - Welcome home!!!! :)

cheeringmom - So many hugs to you!!!!

Belle - I will keep your MIL in my prayers

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run - busy day today.
Leads group first, than Katie's bus orientation second, work third, come home and inhale my dinner fourth, Katie's kindergarten orientation fifth, and then I finally get to come home and stay home :faint:
These type of days always fly by so fast - which is good and bad.

Have a good day everyone!!

Well, the day I've been dreading is finally here!!!!:guilty:
My baby is starting kindergarten today :guilty:
Why does time have to go by so fast, and why do our kids have to grow up?
She is very excited and nervous at the same time (more nervous). Luckily, her friend, and our neighbor, is in the same class with her. So they are riding the bus together, eating lunch together, and everything else - so that's a good thing!!!!:thumbsup2

Stephanie has a first day too. Her first day is at the middle school. She is so EXCITED because she has a locker now:cool1:I can't believe that she's in middle school, but with her being so excited, it's makes it easier for me to accept:upsidedow

Well, I'm off to get Katie out of bed, and get her lunch made
Have a good day everyone!!

Yikes - SLO - I can handle Katie being in Kindergarten. That seems right to me, but Stephanie in MIDDLE SCHOOL - that can't be!

My girls had such a great day at school yesterday :thumbsup2

Katie went off without a tear - which was good for both of us.
If she would have cried, than I would have cried, and then I would of got a headache, and that would have ruined my day :upsidedow I'm so glad that her best friend, and our neighbor, is not only starting school too, but also in her class - it makes things much easier for her!!!!

Stephanie had a rough start to her day - she missed her bus - not her fault:sad2: The bus was a little early, and Stephanie was running to the corner, and the bus never even slowed up at the stop to see if anyone was coming. So Kevin put her in the car and took her to another stop - we weren't happy:sad2: Stephanie told her that she needs to stop at our stop, and she apologized to her, which is good. Hopefully today the driver will slow up and not race through the subdivision.

Today is Katie's last day of being 5, which I can't believe.
Tomorrow she'll be starting a second hand, if that makes any sense. When she turned 5, I told her that she's a whole hand now, and that made her feel so big. Now she's going onto the second hand - time flies!!!!!!:guilty:

I gotta run now and attempt to get Katie up - I hope she gets up as easily as she did yesterday {{fingers crossed}}

Have a great day today!!!

It is so weird!!!!
We have all known each other for awhile now, and it's so wild how ALL our kids are growing up so fast. I remember when you daughter started kindergarten, and I even remember you sending out the pictures. Time flies by way to fast!!!!!:guilty:

I am still trying to pull the trigger and book the Oct. trip to Disney World. I want to go (last chance for DD8 on a child ticket - she will be 9) but I don't want to spend the money.

My DH says I can book - but I know he is worried about $$$ too.

One thing with the 'free dinning' we would have most everything paid for before we leave.

princess: Happy Birthday to Princess Katie!!!
:cheer2: Congrats to Katie starting Kindergarten!

:woohoo:What a big week for Slo's girls! Good luck to the girls on this school year!

Today is Katie's 6th birthday :cake:
She is so bummed out that she has to be at school today (I think it's because we had a family day at the zoo on Stephanie's bday). So I told her that I would go to Dunkin Donuts and get some doughnuts, and then bring them to her school to give to her class - she liked that idea :thumbsup2 Then tonight we are taking her to Texas Roadhouse for dinner - this was her idea. She hasn't eatin there yet, and she really really wants to - so she's excited about that!!!!:) So, she'll have a good day, even though she's at school :thumbsup2

I had another issue with Stephanie's bus yesterday. The transportation center told me to have Stephanie out 10min early, and the second we got outside, the bus was already coming. If we would have been 20 seconds later, we would have never known the bus was here, and Stephanie would have been waiting outside forever:headache::headache::headache: So, to make a long story short, I called the transportation center, and after a lot of discussion (they just didn't want to be helpful. I told them my daughter is not standing outside on a corner for 15-20 minutes every day just so their driver can come whenever she wants) they called the driver and got her exact time. So hopefully, today will be better {{fingers crossed}}.

Well, I'm off to get this day started
Have a good Friday everyone!!

Happy B'day Katie.. how was Texas Roadhouse??

How is middle school?? Middle school already?? Time does fly..

What happened to our heat???????????
70 degrees is just not right for this time of year.
Heck, I wore long sleeves yesterday - it's just not right!!!!!

So, Katie had a great day yesterday - thanks for the bday wishes!!!!:goodvibes
Not only did I take the doughnuts to school, but I also bought Dora napkins, and a button that said it was her 6th bday, and took those to school with the doughnuts - she loved it!!!!:goodvibes I also had a balloon waiting for her at work, for when she came home from school. She enjoyed dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and then after dinner we had a bday cake for her, and she was able to open her gift - a new Razor scooter:woohoo::yay::banana:(that's her). She's been wanting one of these for a year now, so she was really thrilled with the gift!!!!

geffric - Texas Roadhouse was really yummy!!!!!:goodvibes I really enjoy it there!!!!
**Stephanie is really enjoying middle school - it's all about the locker ya know:laughing: I hope she continues to enjoy it when the homework starts rolling in:rolleyes:

Well, I need to go get ready for work - I such a love/hate relationship with working on Saturdays. I hate it, because I naturally want to be home, but I love it, because it gives me an extra day to get things done.

Have a good day!!!

Hi - we are very close to booking our mid-October trip. It would be eight nights. I just hate spending money - so I haven't actually booked it. I did call and price it with airfare today. I can't find cheaper flights on my own (I find the exact same price) so I think the package will include room, flight and DDP.

For those of you who have done the DDP - how much money do you end up spending on food off the plan? I am a tad concerned about it being two meals and a snack. I am not a breakfast person - by my husband is.

OMG slo, I missed Katie's birthday. Well, HAPPY BELATED!!!!
I wish I could send you some of our heat. It was over 100 the other day, and still in the mid to upper 90's today.

BlueBayou when are you planning to go to WDW in October? We're getting there on October 25.

My baby boy starts going to "Big Kids'" school on Tuesday. And if all goes well, he'll be there for the next 14 years. Ian is so excited. His teacher came to visit last Monday and we went to check out his classroom on Friday. He's already decided what he's going to wear on his first day. I'm stressing because he has to be there by 7:45 each morning. I'm also sad because he's growing up so fast. It seem like I was just dropping him off for his first days at Temple E. for preschool (Toddler class) and now he's about to start Pre-K.

I've been scrapping random pages lately and have a few done from our most recent trip, to Disneyland, that I thought I'd share with y'all. Sophia keeps reminding us that she loved the Winnie the Pooh ride, and that she saw Piglet on it. She's all about the princesses and Tinkerbell. And even though she says she doesn't like Captain "Huped", I think she even liked meeting him at the character breakfast. Anyway, here are the layouts I've done so far. (We took nearly 2600 pics in the week we were there, and my camera's internal numbering system rolled back to 0001 because I've taken over 10,000 pics since getting it back in December.)

We just happened to catch a show in California Adventure that had Cinderella in it. And afterwards you could meet the characters. We got pics & autograph of Mickey, but Sophia nearly busted out of skin waiting to meet Cinderella. I have no idea what their conversation was about, but they sure did talk for a long time.

Ian insisted on checking out every car we came upon in Toon Town. We had a difficult time convincing him to get out so other children could have a turn. He tried to tell us they could sit in the back seat while he drove.

Oh, one more thing. I'm finally joining the 21st century. I let OF talk me into getting an iPhone today. My old phone's battery wasn't holding a charge very well. And right before we left for DL the charger quit connecting properly and I had to tape it to the phone and wiggle it around to get the phone to even charge. The coolest thing I've found about it so far is that I can load these layouts on it. :thumbsup2

RRBB - if we go - it would be before your trip. It looks like the Targliarchy could be represented most of October. First Geffric/NC Belle - then us - and finally you guys. But none of us there at the same time except Geffric/NC Belle.

I DID IT!!!! I have a deposit on a WDW vacation... I need to pay in full by Wednesday.

I have a confirmation number to make ADRs - but have no idea when I will be where.

Help....

I am about to search best days for what parks. I know my DD8 wants to go to Animal Kingdom the most. She wants that to be our first park. Our kids are a bit different. They usually want to go to DCA first - I have had to drag them into Disneyland before DCA was open for the day. Of course they have a blast once inside Disneyland.

If anybody has a spare passporter they want to bring to the office... hint, hint, hint...

Well, I'll beat you all to WDW as I'll be there in two weeks! :woohoo:

I've aleady put it in the car so I won't forget it. We need to do a lunch meeting to go over ADR related stuff (I've been all over the restaurant boards lately).

Technically you won't need to spend any extra money on food (except for tips). Where are you staying? Some snack credits get you breakfast items in the food courts. Lots of adult counter service meals can be shared. You might want to buy some bottled water (don't use snack credits for water) and maybe some in room snack/breakfast type items. If you don't have wheels, you can have them delivered from the grocery place (the name is here on the DIS somewhere, I just don't remember it at this moment). You might want to spend some out of pocket money if there is an appetizer that you and DH want, or an adult beverage. Just remember between the kids meals and adult meals, you can share them any way you want once they get to the table (you it the chicken strips, kids share the burger). Be sure DH gets at least one breakfast buffet to keep him happy!

I kind of lost this weekend as vacation prep time, as I was back in the hospital Friday for another out-patient procedure. Thankfully this time we just did a biopsy, so only a small cut and a couple of stiches. Dr. gave me the Disney World special sewing job...so I'd heal up and not 'pop open' on the rides! :lmao::lmao::lmao:All is well in that department!

Despite the draw of POR and CB - I took advice from you and booked POFQ. Joe really wanted to do a value - and I may still change, but I figure a moderate is a nice compromise from my Poly dreams ;)

Glad you are feeling well - and thanks for putting the passporter in the car.

The only ADR I know we want to do is something at AKL. DD8 is extremely disappointed that I would not consider staying there.

Well, often, POFQ isn't much more than a value...and it has a fun slide! Plus I like that it's the first pick up and first drop off on the bus (99% of the time), so you are more likely to always get a seat going out and don't have to wait through all the Riverside stop coming home. If you do decide to go to a value though, I'd recommend POP for pretty much that same reason...better bus over the All Stars.

Talk to you tomorrow!
