Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

FIL update--- he has some issues that came up in the past couple of days that may clear up somewhat with adjustment or removal of some medicines. He has been having constant leg bone pains, but he still gets to go out for a bit. FIL hung out with his buddies for a short while Saturday. MIL is stressed out and calls NC Beast to help her figure out her Weight Watcher points. She gets to have time with her friends and works out.

We have been boring again this weekend. NC Beast had to mow early yesterday because rain was forecasted (did not have much if at all). We went grocery shopping and had dinner out (did not go over in WW points). NC Beast may getting his haircut in a little bit.

Yeah, it has....FILL US IN. :upsidedow

.

It's been quite a journey! Well I did some of the CP but due to health reasons, and a few other things I came home. I was upset about it but it's jumpstarted me going back to college. I'm waiting to hear back from a few colleges but I know now without a doubt that i'm going to continue with my art and make a career of it! I do miss Disney though :sad1: but hopefully next time I work for them it will be art related :goodvibes

How have you been?

So sorry you had to cut the college program short! AND I hope the health issue is A-OK now.

I've just been working and waiting for my next Disney adventure. Actually, I leave for vacation to Chicago in a couple of days and look forward to visiting with my sister and some of my cruise-mates who live near her. Then it will be a long hot summer till my WDW/Disney cruise adventure in September. Oh, and i joined Weight Watchers (again), this time, for the last time, going to get the job done!

Glad your experience helped you to realize that you want to continue with college and stay in your field. Knowing what you really want to do in life is half the battle!

.

Yes the health issues are much better. It was just something better addressed at home.

Have a great trip to Chicago! I've always wanted to visit; it's such a beautiful city. You will have so much fun on your cruise! My old roomate and I are planning on taking one someday. They sound incredible! Where are you going on your cruise? Take lots of pictures!

Good for you for joining weight watchers! I always liked their healthy approach. I'm sure you'll be successful in your goals.

It's been hard for me to decide exactly which direction I wanted to head in but I know approximately where i'm headed. I'm nervous to hear back from colleges though. At least i've heard from a few and I know for sure i'm going to at least one :rotfl:

Welcome home Seewhat... I am sorry that you had health issues and cut the CP short.. but glad that things have been addressed and you are ok.. congrats on the college front.. which ones have you picked out??

Yes! I was hoping that we would have a plan for some specific activities, but we don't. :sad2: So Wed night/Thu morning we will sit down and think about what we are going to do. Is coming into town just to 'hang out' OK with you? Maybe 'do' Michigan Ave and lunch? I'm only really booked up for Sat noon through Sunday dinner, so we'd have the following Monday to look at also.

Hi everyone! I hope it has been a good weekend for all. It was restful for us... but way too short.

Thanks :)

I've gotten into the Academy of Art in San Fran, and University of Hawaii. I'm still waiting to hear back from Savannah College of Art and Design and Ringling in Florida. It'll be hard for me to choose :scared:

We had such a beautiful day yesterday :sunny:
Even though I was stuck inside, I still loved the nicer weather!!!

This morning I need to rush Sophie to the vet.
Kevin found a tick on her last week, and pulled it, but incorrectly (he didn't know) and I think part of it is still in there. Plus, I found another area that we think has burrowed ticks behind her ear. With her hair being long, it's very difficult to see these areas, and if I weren't literally looking for tick areas, I would have never found them. I'm stunned that she has these, because she's outside for such short periods of time (long enough to go potty) and goes no where that has a lot of brush. So, we'll see what the vet says.

SeeWhat - I'm sorry you had to cut the college program short:guilty: Good luck with making a college selection - I"m looking forward to hearing what you decide.

to everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get ready to leave early today
Have a great day!!!

Sorry to hear that your poor doggy has ticks :sad1: I hope she'll be doing okay soon

Thanks for the kind words. I'm excited to hear back; it should be any day now on the remaining two! :scared:

Hi guys,
Sorry I have been MIA for a while, I have been obsessing over the August park hours, they are still not posted and it is past the 90 day mark. I am so glad I don't need to call for my ADR's until the end of the month.

Seewhat Sorry you had to cut the CP short, but I'm glad you got your health problems sorted.

Slo How did Sophie get on at the vets? I hope you got her sorted.

Well I have spent today doing 2 things, 1) looking for park hours (still no luck there, although a plan based on last years info), 2) looking for my cat Figaro, he had been missing for 24 hours. I mentioned it to my neighbour and he suddenly said, "My garden shed was open all yesterday afternoon!" So we opened it up and he was sitting in there! He can't have been that botherd as I was calling him in the back garden all afternoon and their shed is next to my fence and I can see in the window, but he didn't cry out. I guess he was sleeping!!

I hope everyone has a good week.

Thanks for the well wishes! Galf to know you found your kitty. How stressful!

This is my usual Tuesday morning quickie - I have my leads group this morning.

Update on Sophie....... :dog:
The vet said there was no evidence of ticks attached at this time. The sore under her ear was much larger than I realized, and the vet said that this could have been started by a tick, but he's not 100%. The wound is growing, which he wasn't happy to see, because it could be a bacteria infection, and not just an infection. He put her on an oral antibiotic, and a topical antibiotic. He said that if her sore isn't better in a week, that I need to bring her back, because there's something worse going on, that the antibiotic won't heal.

In case anyone care - I learned a little about ticks.
Ticks don't go all the way under the sick (we thought they did), only the head does. Females will balloon up with blood, which makes them very easy to see. The males can be as small as a pin head, and they don't balloon up. They just feed, and then detach themself (this is what the vet thinks could have happened to Sophie). When removing a tick, you should put mineral oil on it, with a QTip, and then carefully pull it off with tweasers. You must not break it, because all that disease will get all over your dog. You should also wear gloves, so you don't get disease on your hands.

Now that I've sat around talking about Ticks, I need to get ready for my meeting. I read everyone's posts, and I'm sorry I can't respond individually.

Have a great day everyone!!!

Kevin made Monkeybread last night, for the first time, and I can't stop eating it. It is so yummy!!!:goodvibes It was especially good after he took it out of the oven, but I put some in the microwave this morning, and had it with my coffee - I've died and gone to heaven - so good!!!!!:goodvibes

SeeWhat - Sophie's sore seems to be getting better, but it's so hard to tell. With all her hair, and her impatience while trying to look at it, makes it hard to get a good look. I'll keep you posted:)

Well, I must go get Steph some breakfast, and then I have to jump in the shower to get the hair dye out of my hair (I never enjoy hair dying day).

I hope you all have a good day today!!!

Monkeybread? What's that? I feel stupid for asking but I have never heard of it. Sounds funky and tasty :)

What kind of dog is Sophie? My kitty has health problems and he's so squirmy when I try to give him his pills. I wish they knew that you're trying to help them!
