Well you may remember me saying just over a week a go that I felt a bit under the weather. I had a bit of a cold that made me a bit tired. Other than that it wasn't too bad a cleared up pretty quickly. So I was hoping that was my share for the year, or at least until the New Year. But no, I now have flu. It started with a sore throat the night I got home from Winter Wonderland, followed by little sleep due to a splitting headache and chills and now I have it full blown. I don't think I have had flu before, or at least for a long time because I don't remember feeling this lousy. Its horrible, and it sucks as I have so much to do before Christmas . We are going down to my Mum for Christmas on Tuesday night so need to have everything wrapped and ready and our things packed for Monday night. Mum and Sophie are then coming back to stay for New Years eve so we need to get the house tidied up and cleaned too. Oh why does this always happen at the worst time

I think it is probably flu though as it started the night before last and it still seems to be getting worse. I just hope it goes before Christmas as I would hate to pass it on to my Grandparents or one of the children

It's another very early Saturday morning
I'm really looking forward to next weekend when I can sleep in everyday!!!!!
I"m going to try to get to work again by 7am - that worked out really well last week. I love being able to wear my ipod while I"m working - I feel like I work a little faster when I have my workout music playing
I'm praying for some decent business today, because this is the last weekend, in many weekends that I have the potential for good business. After Christmas, I will be dead dead dead until spring.


The Christmas party last night was okay. I got there right before they started to serve the food, so that was good, because I was starving, because I didn't eat any lunch yesterday. They had a really bad comedian after dinner, and then a really loud band after him - this is when we left. I don't mind loud music when I'm at a bar or a club, but not a function like this. When I can't have a conversation with someone, that's a huge problem with me. Plus, there's several retirees, and they don't want to listen to that either I hope they get better entertainment next year.


geffric - We really are having some sucky weather aren't we?! I don't know what's worse - all the snow you guys have, or all the ice we have Did you guys have any ice at all? I wish I had my camera at home so I could take some pictures yesterday - it was quite pretty out, but so dangerous!!!!!!

FIL update (just in today's e-mil): quoted from mil "For those we have not spoken to, we want to let you know that Dad's chemo session yesterday went very well. For a few days he is on steroids to counteract any nasty side effects, so he is "pumped." Thanks for your prayers. Hopefully he will continue to feel good even after they are discontinued tomorrow."

Ian's been telling his friends, teachers, and anyone else that will listen that we're going to WDW for vacation. Thing is, we don't have any trips planned at the moment. I guess OF and I need to figure out when we can go again. (I'm torn between wanting to go back to WDW and going on another cruise. I have a feeling WDW is going to win out.)

It was a gorgeous day here yesterday. I think it got up into the mid 70's. Of course by tomorrow it's going to be freezing cold again. As much as I love the warm weather, this up & down is driving me crazy and getting everyone sick! At least everyone in our house is still healthy at the moment.

We have a DIS Meet tomorrow afternoon. There's going to be a Disney ornament exchange. Even though we don't need/use ornaments, I think we'll participate. The kids will get a kick out of it AND we have some ornaments we got at WDW a few years. (We bought them for gifts and had a few leftover.)

Hanukkah starts tomorrow night. This year I actually have gifts for the kids AND a few of them are wrapped. Last year I was so bad and never got around to shopping for them (or anyone else.) I hate shopping, especially this time of year.

Here's a little pixie dust for all that are feeling under the weather right now. I hope y'all feel better in time for a happy holiday (whichever you celebrate.)

Now it's time to see where Ian and Sophia are, and what kind of mischief they're getting into...

Well I have had a busy day today. We got the last of our Christmas shopping done and I decided to get crafty and make a Mickey Christmas wreath. I'm quite impressed as I made it totally from scratch!

It's a whopping -6 degrees outside this morning
Not only is it cold, but it's also very windy
Poor Sophie was shivering so bad, that she could barely go to the bathroom
The trees in the forest, are all creeking so bad. Everything around here has tons of ice on it, and with all this wind, we are waiting for trees/tree branches to start cracking and breaking, power lines to start falling, and etc. It's not good weather around here at all!!!!!


Today we are going out into the frozen tundra to my inlaws house. They are having their extended family Christmas party today The girls are very excited to get their first Christmas presents It should be a nice day, it's just to bad that it's so cold

Good afternoon everyone. I am feeling a little bit better today, so hopefully by Christmas I will be ok, fingers crossed.

I had a lovely visit yesterday with one of my cruise mates who just got back from her first visit to WDW. Loved hearing all her stories and finding out the things she liked best.

THEN I told her, that cruise friends of ours have invited us to share their Disney Vacation Club villa with them before our cruise next September! So now I am planning my TENTH visit to WDW And all for the cost of the Dining Plan ($40 a day) and my park hopper! Ian will book in February and the resort is going to be a surprise...can't wait to find out which one it is. He's only nixed Saratoga Springs, which is fine with me as that's the only one I've already stayed at.

I'm doing the happy dance today!

Hi everyone!

I hope all is well. We are still considering a spring break (March) trip to WDW. But we did just get a tumor removed from our 11-year-old dog - so we took a bit of a $$$ hit there.

Our sweet dog seems to be doing okay, but she seems very sad and does not understand what we did to her. But she is drinking water and looking for food (does not seem to want dog food yet but is sniffing around for fallen people food).
