Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

We just decided to have lasagna for Christmas dinner! Peg makes really good lasagna too! :cool1:

Ah can I come over, I want lasagna so bad. I was just saying to Nick the night before last and now you have mentioned it :headache:

Come on over.. there is more than enough lasagna for all..

I was thinking about making it for Xmas eve dinner but DH said he would help and we can do it before we leave for the Hanukkah party at my brothers...

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It is brrrr:mickeybar cold in Florida. Just a quick stop to say Hi!!!

RRBB Love the pictures. Keep them coming!!

BELLE how is dad today??

BB good sign the puppy is hungry!!

ibounce. sounds like a fun trip! Wish I was going back soon!

SLO have fun with the fam

Dana, love the wreath. I bought a Mickey shaped one for my neighbors and will share your pic. I don't think they know what to do with it. Yours is too cute

Geffric:laundy: today?? ugh. It is too cold for anything but sitting by
the fire.... and have fun at the party

we are off for a party too. Just an open House. So nice that one of the neighbors is throwing a party. I was thinking of doing one but since my dad passed I don't have the energy to plan a huge party...

Have a great Sunday friends

NC Beast has to work on Christmas Eve so hopefully he can still pick up Chinese take-out. We have a back-up plan---frozen Stouffer's lasagna.

I'm making prime rib for us on Christmas Day.

Happy 1st night of Hanukkah to all my friends who celebrate.

Thanks for all the complements on the wreath, I'm quite impressed myself as I am not usually that crafty. I get great ideas and can imagine craft projects in my head, but in reality they don't usually work out as planned!!

NC Belle We had Chinese takeout for dinner this evening, yummy!!

Cheeringmom I hope you have fun at your party. Its a shame you say its cold in Florida. My friends went to WDW yesterday and she text me today and said it was chilly. I didn't dare tell her that it was quite mild and warm here today!!

BlueBayou I hope your dog feel better soon.

ibouncetoo sounds like a fun WDW trip. I love the DVC villas, the Beach Club Villas are my favourite as I love the theme and the pool!!

Slo I hope the weather picks up for you soon, I couldn't imagine having all that ice. I hate driving in that weather. A few weeks ago we had a really cold spell and my car skidded twice going around the roundabout at the bottom of the road my school is on. I really did not like driving for those days.

Everyone else Hi :yay:

Well I finally got all my presents wrapped. It feels strange not having to prepare for Christmas here. This year we are going to Petes parents on Christmas eve, then to my parents on Christmas day (we are going with my parents to my uncles house for Christmas dinner.) Tomorrow our best friends are coming over for lunch and we will swap presents with them then which will be nice.

Well it is getting late here so I should go and finish a few chores before heading to bed.

I'm making prime rib for us on Christmas Day.
I thought about prime rib - but I think we are going with spaghetti and meatballs. My DH is 1/2 Italian - so it is homemade sauce etc. Quite tasty and the kids like it.

I think I am going to wait on the prime rib until my mom gets out here. She really likes it.

Anybody have a receipe for a breakfast/egg dish? Peg is going to make HOMEMADE lasagna (made a phone call to clarify that:lmao: ), so I want to do something special for breakfast. Hope to find some kind of crustless quiche type thing and serve it with crossiants.

Good morning everyone, it's Monday morning and I'm not at work!! Yayy!!

For our Christmas dinner we will be having the typical British one: Melon or soup to start with, then Turkey with roast potato, sprouts, parsnips, peas and carrots, cranberry sauce and gravy. Then for pudding traditional Christmas pudding with rum sauce or custard. Then later we will have some of my mums home made fruit Christmas cake (which is yummy) with some white crumbly cheese (its a Yorkshire tradition, it sounds awful but it tastes really nice!) Oh and before we eat we will all pull our Christmas crackers (something I missed when I went to WDW for Christmas, you guys don't seem to do Christmas Crackers which I found odd!!!)

Today my friends are coming over for lunch, they should be here in about 30 minutes and then I don't have anything else planned really. Quite a lazy day I think!!

I hope you all have a nice day.

DanaUK - what are Christmas crackers???:confused3

Morning.. another cold one here.. the real temp was -3 and wind chill was at -25... BBBRRRRR!!!!

Kids are home and I am at work ... Eric is going to the mall this afternoon to find a present for his gf and then to band practice. Geoff is doing something with his friends but i am not sure what...???

thanks for the pictures NCB..

yesterday we did Hanukkah at my brothers and then home to lasagna.. homemade sort of not a homemade sauce.. it was good but tonight it will be better.. somethings just taste better the 2nd day ..:confused3

Sounds like a yummy dinner Danauk. But what are Christmas Crackers?

Today Ian is going to PowerKids Camp with some of his classmates. I'm not exactly sure what they'll be doing all day, but I know that the preschool brings in someone from PowerKids to do the PE classes. Ian is really excited about the day. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with Sophia though. I might drop her off at Adventure Kids (a drop-in childcare) for a few hours so I can do some grocery shopping and she can run around.

It's cold here today. :cold: Right now it's 24 degrees, going up to around 36 later today. I'm sure some of y'all think that's a heat wave.

Have a great day everyone!!!

It's another day of COLD!!!!!:cold:
We've been at below zero now for over 24 hours
My poor puppy is so cold outside, that she can barely stop shaking to go potty. She has a had time walking on the cold ground, and has to lift her paws alot to get some relief. I do put a sweater on her, but she would never tolerate anything on her feet. After she goes potty she runs towards the front door like she's saying "let me in! let me in!!!"

Well, it's time to get ready for work
Have a great day everyone!!!

Happy 2nd night of Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight.

Take a potato, pat pat pat
Roll it and make it flat flat flat
Fry it in a pan with fat fat fat
Chanukah latkes just like that.

we DO have Christmas Crackers here...they are just not a tradition.

I usually pick some up at Cost Plus Imports or Pier One.

NO kids....not food crackers, noisy crackers. You pull them apart and they make a loud pop and have treats inside. Tube shaped.....come one I know you've seen them.....

RRBB I thought of Crystal Palace breakfast lasagna...but they're way too much work (plus since we're loading up on pasta that night, I want a high-protein breakfast).

....time to hit the shower....have a good day everyone.

Yes, those are Christmas crackers, they are a must on any British Christmas table!! They have a small cracker inside which makes the popping sound, then in the tube there is a paper hat to wear, a joke and a gift. We tend to get decent ones so we have gifts in them that we can actually use!! Now if we only knew where to find some in Orlando when we next go to WDW for Christmas!! Oh well I have 2 years to research I guess!!

Oh and Happy 2nd night of Hanukkah to all who are celebrating tonight.

Hey everyone, hope everyone is ok today and looking forward to Christmas :santa:.
Tomorrow night Nick and I are traveling down to my Mum's house. I am not looking forward to the journey (about 5 hours of driving through the night), but it does mean we will be home in time for Christmas eve, something my 2 sisters are very excited about. My Mum did her Christmas baking yesterday so hopefully there will be lots of yummy treats for us when we get down there.

Danauk ~ Sounds like you have a lovely few days planned, and I hope you have a lovely Christmas break from school.

This is my last full winter day until Tuesday!!!!:cool1:
That means I have 6 days off!!!!!!:woohoo:
I love having my college employee home!!!!!:yay:

We were pretty slow yesterday at work, which is good and bad. Good, because I don't have any new orders to do today, and bad, because I really want the business. Today will be busy for my employee and I. We have 4 Christmas orders left to do, that we can't start them until my deliveries come in the afternoon. My employee said that a gentleman called last night asking us if we could do 2 things for X-Mas Eve, and she told him we could, so that means we could have 6 things to do. I'm so glad I have her with me to help with this stuff:)

Intermixed with the work at work, I need to take Sophie this morning to get groomed, got to Factory Card Outlet to buy some sticker books (Santa is bringing stickers in the stockings, and I would like the girls to have sticker books to put them in), pick up calenders at Office Max, make 2 batches of Nestle Toll House Pan Cookies and wrap the Santa presents :faint: I'm looking forward to this day being over with!!!! Kevin is home today, so he can pick up Sophie, but he's not feeling well, so I don't want to ask him to do more than that. It's more important to me to have him well for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day :santa:

Stephanie has a Teletubbies Christmas tape with a segment on how Christmas Crackers are made - pretty interesting!!!! I always wondered if you could buy those in this county, and now thanks to ibounce, I know where to find them :thumbsup2

Ariel - Have a safe trip home!! What does your mom usually bake?

Danauk and Ariel - I DVR'd a special on how Christmas is celebrated in different European countries, and one of the coutries on this special was England. They talked about minced pies, and how minced pies are left out for Santa - I thought that was interesting!!!! Did you leave out minced pies for Santa? Stephanie and I were really enjoying this special last night, and I would like to finish it tonight, if time permits.

Well, the shower is calling me
Have a great day today everyone!!!!

Good morning Busy Bees

Looks like everyone is busy getting ready for Christmas and Hanukkah festivities. Lots of cooking, baking etc.

ibounce..I wish I could help with a recipe. I am the worst cook ever...

Slo good luck on your new orders. It should keep you busy and make some money for your business!

DANA, when you said Christmas crackers I was thinking food-no surprise here lol
