Sorry i've been MIA. I just took my last final! I have a few things to send in to teachers and then i'm done! I can't believe it!

Ariel - Don't think i've forgotten about you! I can't get the name of the condos till this weekend; my stepmom knows what they're called but she's actually in Whistler right now skiing! (darn her) so I have to wait for her to get back

I feel like I'm moving in slow motion this morning. I think it's because I slept really well last night, which I needed after not sleeping well the night before. I need to start moving faster though, because I have alot to do before I leave for work today. Plus, I need to leave early so I can go buy a ton of gift cards at Dunkin Donuts for all the teachers. Lots to do today!!!

Glad you managed to get a good sleep, sounds like you needed it. I had a terrible sleep, I had such a bad headache that I just couldn't shake, and even now it hasn't gone. After having such a lovely day yesterday today is rubbish, I have so much cleaning and work to do but I just feel so bad

I just thought I would post some pictures of my Christmas decorations, including our tree, as I have enjoyed looking at everyone elses . Its a little bit smaller than we usually have, I prefer the biggest tree we can fit, but last year it took us hours of searching and I just wasn't up for that this time around. Most of our decorations are either Disney, Me to You bear and then just a few nice baubles and angels.

As you can see we have quite a lot of Disney decorations around, as well as a large number of Disney Christmas plush, stockings, and of course Disney wrapping paper. I always go for a colour scheme for my wrapping and this year is is dark blue, white and silver with a hint of Tinkerbelle, and a few Disney boxes for Sophie.

Well I am sure glad we only have 1 day left at school before the holidays. Today we had our class party, I spent 2 hours playing party games with 25 8 year olds. We played pass the parcel and other kids games and then had party food. Yumm!!

I have spent the past few days looking at a cool hidden Mickeys at DLRP website that a fellow disser pointed out. http://www.hiddendlrp.com/ I was looking at it and realised that I knew of a hidden Mickey that wasn't on the site. So I emailed them a picture so they have used my info and my photography on their site!! I wonder if they have the same hidden Mickey at the stunt show at WDW? I guess they do!

Oh well I should go, I need to do housework. One of my work friends and her husband are coming over for drinks tomorrow evening.

MY SHOPPING IS DONE. Had a lovely day, except the part where the doctor punched a hole in me. Didn't do a movie, decided to come home for a nap instead. Which will commence as soon as I get off the DIS.

FIL update (just in today's e-mil): quoted from mil "For those we have not spoken to, we want to let you know that Dad's chemo session yesterday went very well. For a few days he is on steroids to counteract any nasty side effects, so he is "pumped." Thanks for your prayers. Hopefully he will continue to feel good even after they are discontinued tomorrow."

FIL starts chemo/experimental drug study tomorrow. He seems to be having more tired days----a lot of holiday things that he does not want to miss out.

Saturday, NC Beast put our tree out (from the back room---left it decorated last year). I have to hide his most requested gift that arrived today.

We had some nice warm days this week in the 60s---today...it is dropping to the 40s.

Thanks for the update NCB.. continued prayers for him..

Well it has been busy here.. lots of scout things for the last week before break but tonight is boy scout committee and then that is it for a while.. yeah right... we are waiting for the 7-10 inches of snow promised for tonight.. mixed with sleet.. sounds lovely.. Geoff is hoping for no school tomorrow and Eric has a test tomorrow so he is hoping to get it over before break.. doesn't know if he should study or not..


Tomorrow Eric has pep band.. Geoff thinks he is going out with friends.. it will depend on the snow/sleet and how he feels ( he is a bit under the weather sort of.. had two test today and was looking for me to call him out of school 'cause he was up past 1 am last night..) don't think I can call him in tired.. so I didn't..


Tomorrow I am working from home.. YEAH!! and then tomorrow night Dh and I are trying to determine the effects of the benefit cuts at the big M and how it effects us..


I am resigned to work until i am way past old ...

Thank you. I have a Pooh tree topper too but since Tigger is my favorite, and we have a cat called Tigger, I wanted to put that one on.

The wrapping took me forever, unlike Nick who just covers his gifts in paper and chucks them under the tree. You will have to let me know what theme or color you go for

What an ICY ICY wonderland we are having right now.
Stephanie has no school today, so she is very excited about that.
Kevin went to work today, and I am very nervous about that (he has a small car and doesn't handle bad weather, especially ice, very well).
Katie's daycare is still open, and she is very happy about that, because her holiday party is today, and she really didn't want to miss that. I'm glad too, because I have a lot to do at work, and I don't want to listen to them both bicker all day.


It's actually very pretty outside, but I'm a little nervous about the power lines as more weight from the ice gets on them. The FD has already been called out for a down power line, and I'm wondering how many are to follow. If the electricity goes out, my work day is over, which will really put me behind schedule.


What are you all doing this weekend?
Tonight I am going to the town Christmas party (I wonder how many people will be there).
Tomorrow I work all day
Sunday I will go to work for awhile, and then we go to my inlaws for their extended family Christmas party.
So I have a busy weekend!!!!

Kids are home from school today.. snow day for them!! so they are sleeping. Taking bets on how long?? My guess is at least 11 am could be noon... ah teens on break...

i working from home - didn't want to brave the train today.. and DH is waiting for the snow plow to come before the driveway can be finished so he can get to work.. no rush.. I said he should work from home but he wasn't interested in that..


Tomorrow I am taking Eric and gf to the chocolate buffet and north MI ave .. i am looking forward to it..
