Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Danauk--- I am happy that you had a great tour. The tours seem fun. I don't know if we will get to do a tour at WDW.

RRBB/Geffric---I hope that y'all get to relax some before your trip.

Thanks for everyone's words of encouragement /support...I did not mean to say I wanted the godmother job, but everything good seems to go to Sis' dh's side. I did e-mail my Sis this morning about the time Slo posted to tell her how I feel so cut off, wished that she show some support or saying anything when NC Beast's Dad was diagnosed with cancer or even check on how I was doing, and how sad that I am and feeling left out not in any celebrations or the fun of a new baby. She called at 8am to tell me that I sounded angry and that I should not have anything do with Connor at all nor her. I called my folks that said that and told me that I was way off-base and why I am being upset. I tried to have NC Beast explain my feelings and how Sis told me off since I told her that we were expecting the a/c service guy to call any minute plus I was too upset to talk at the moment. I cried off and on all day and feel that my parents are going to cut me out too. I just keep on feeling shut out today. I feel like everyone assumes that I would be okay in being left out on the various parties and fun. They say that I don't understand what a new mom goes through in the first year plus losing a job the month before due date (lay-off).

:flower3: Sorry for that vent/rant. I had a rough day with everything and I have been a bad speller/omitting words/letters (I get that way when I am tired or have sore eyes). I just needed a soundingboard today and yes I know that I can be jerk in some ways.

:grouphug: some time:grouphug: .. friends are better than family.. you have many blessings and lots of people that love you and care about you.. IMHO your sister is way off base.. but she is missing out on the wonderful you and all of the great things you can give her and Connor.. :grouphug: hang in there.. we are all here for you..

 One thing that was weird was being quoted one of Protestant doctrines in responsing to why I should not be upset in not being invited to a Catholic baptism.

Yawn.......so tired with this darkness:surfweb:

Yesterday was a nice day.
I cleaned some house in the morning, and then Katie I went to the park, and had a picnic lunch. We were going to go to the show, but she decided she wanted to go to the park instead, which was fine, because that's free:thumbsup2 Then last night we all went to the mall, so Stephanie could get her Hannah Montana backpack, and lunch tote (They are like a silver disco ball). Both girls took some their birthday money (Stephanie bought her backpack with part of her money) and then both girls bought a new Build-A-Bear and something for them to wear. I swore I wouldn't get any more BAB, but they wanted to use their own money, so I said okay. Katie got a rabbit, and Stephanie got a whitish/bluish bear.

cheeringmom - No, I haven't hired anyone yet :sad2: The friends DD is suppossed to come in this week to fill out an application. Once that happens, then I may hire her - we'll see!!! This is one of the worst parts of having your own business.

Danauk - Thanks for checking in, and great picture!!!!:) I'm glad you're having a great time!!!!:cool1:

RRBB - Good luck with your last minute packing and plans for vacation:wizard:

Belle - More hugs to you!!!  I am so sorry that everyone said what they said to you:guilty: You have every right to feel left out, and every right to feel hurt. I would have a good heart-to-heart talk with your parents to tell them how you feel, so they know your side of this. I realize they know about the email, but maybe a good talk will work well with them. They need to know that you are not being a jerk, and how left out you truly feel. I feel very bad for you, and remember you have many friends here, and we will always be here for you!!!!:grouphug:
**I just re-read your post yesterday, and I see that you aren't even invited to the Christening - did she say why????? My brother is not my children's Godfather, because he isn't Catholic, but he was definitly invited to the Christening. I totally don't blame you for your feelings at all :sad2:

Well, I'm off to start the day.
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Mom said that Sis' dh was making the arrangements for the date and Sis thought it would be too much money to spent for a small insignificant event. My MIL would have her bosses lecture me and send the multitude of priest friends to straighten me out if I even say that to family (MIL works for the Baltimore diocese/semi-retired). My in-laws had met Pope John Paul II during his 1995 Baltimore visit/mass. I did not have to do the church lottery for a ticket plus we had great seats. Sis and Mom did not win tickets so they could not attend the Papal Sunday Mass.

I have priests asking MIL how we are doing and when are we coming for a visit. One priest loves to go NC B.'s parents' place to play Scrabble with us. You really have to watch one's language and some word picks. :) Jessie is blest almost every time we go to his folks by the Scrabble/fishing priest.

That's not for her to judge on what you want to spend money on or not :sad2: Plus, I don't believe a Christening is a small insignificant event - it's extremely important!!!!! It sounds like she's starting to back-peddle now that you shared your feelings. Oh well, as my priest would say about things out of our control, "Let it go". He says this alot, and I'm becoming very good at doing that when I'm frustrated about something out of my control. Continued hugs to you!!

I have passed from excited to panic... why am I leaving the kids at home.??.. what happens if..( fill in the blanks including everything from water pipe breaking to car accidents to)
.. I have made lists and then more lists for them and DH's aunt..

and finally last night as i was obsessing about another thing.. just gave them each $50 and said be good, don't fight and if all alse fails call my sister.

If anything happens. call 911, then your aunt and then me..

I am not sure how i am going to work today... I have so many things running through my mind and none of them relate to work at all..

Geffric - sounds like you need a big drink at lunch! ;)

Hi guys - Paul and I are doing well - just kinda busy with work - but we finished booking our ADRs for the land part of our upcoming WDW trip and this sunday we get to book some of the cruise/sea stuff - Palo, maybe Palo brunch and Spa treatments - so that will be fun.

NC Belle- So sorry to hear about your family issues- hopefully you can get yourself to a place where you feel better - some of this stuff we just can't control unfortunately and the best we can hope for is some kind of inner peace. Your such a nice person channel it somewhere else where it will be valued.

If it any solace - I've got the opposite problem -
my family tends to over involve me - wana trade! ;)

i am wondering if i should bring one or 2 cameras..

:boat:

Geffric---I have no idea on availability to get a camera once you are on board, but since this is a special trip plus the Panama Canal....pack a spare if there is room.

Wallyb--- Palo sounds like fun and romantic. NC Beast has always wanted me to get a spa treatment...maybe in a trip or two.

Morning buds,,,been a few days. The weather has been nice the last two days and we have been taking advantage of it.Had a canoe tripped planned today but the weather is crap...again!

Did go to a greyhound racing park last night and my 8 yr old would pick dogs according to how "cute" they were and she picked two winners for a payoff of $331.00. heheh Now she can get her camp rock chair!

Sorry I missed everyone before they headed off. I am concerned with the crappy weather forming in the gulf. Where are they headed? It is a two week trip correct?

Dana, thanks for sharing that picture. California always has nice weather!!

Good to see you WallyB!!

Welcome to the crew xDressedinlov. It is always neat to meet new people here.

:yay: Slo!-I was looking for the "waving" smilie but couldn't find it!! hehe

off to start the day. be good

I NEED A VACATION!!! Anyone know of a good one where I don't have to cook or clean or shop or anything? :rotfl:

Thanks. I'm sure we'll come home with TONS of photos.

I used to be such a good packer. OF and I went to Korea for a week about 8 years ago for a formal wedding and I was able to get everything we needed into 2 rollaboards, 1 garment bag, and 1 backpack. This time, don't even ask! We've got 8 pieces to check, 2 carry-ons, Ian's tiny backpack, diaper bag, car carrier (w/Sophia in it), food bag (for Sophia), and stroller to gate check. I feel like we're so over packed, but it's too late now!!!

We're heading to the airport in about 45 minutes so I guess I'd better get those last few tasks done - like wake, dress & feed Sophia.

Later...

It was so nice to wake up to sunlight today :sunny:

We are going to have a beautifully awesome weather weekend :sunny:
We have no plans, and that's fine with me!!!!
Katie isn't feeling well, so this weekend we are totally chilling out at home.
I cleaned house yesterday (I worked in the morning, and then again at night, so I was home during the afternoon), so I don't even have to do that this weekend - awesome!!!! I'm going to catch up on my book, and maybe lay outside for awhile. It'll be a much needed, relaxing weekend!!!!!:goodvibes

Goodbye to all our Taglkin friends!!!! :wave2:
I hope you all have an awesome, safe, and fun trip!!!!:cool1:
I can hardly wait to hear all about it when you come home!!!!!!:yay:

Wallly - When are you and Paul returning to The World? I can't remember:confused: We are going to be there the last week in October. We don't have tons of ADR's this trip, because we are staying off property in a timeshare. We are eating at Chef Mickey's, Kona Cafe, Garden Grill and Sci-Fi. The rest of the time we are eating in the condo, or at a restaurant off property (it's going to be weird, I have to admit).

Belle - How are you feeling today my friend?

cheeringmom - I"m sorry about your canoe trip getting cancelled:guilty: Hopefully you can reschedule it and the weather will cooperate :wizard:

Well, I gotta go get ready for work
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo--I had a great Saturday night. Geffric called us and we had a chance to talk to Ohana, RRBB, and Danauk.
:wizard: I hope that Katie is feeling better today.

:woohoo: 1 week to go for WDW.

Poor Sophie is sick today :guilty:
She woke up this morning with both diaharea and vomiting:guilty:
This makes me nervous, because she is so little, that she could dehydrate very easily. I did give her 1 grape, which I found out later is dangerous for dogs, but it was just 1, so I don't if that's it. I then gave her part of a Dentabone, which I saw on the package, this morning, in very small print, that it's not for puppies, so I don't know:confused3 All I know, is that I don't like seeing her this way.

Katie is still not 100% either, and I have a feeling I'm taking her to the doctor tomorrow:guilty: She still has no fever, but talks like someone is pinching her nose, and is still complaining of a sore throat. She is also not acting like herself - not alot of energy. Poor thing!!!!:guilty:

Well, I gotta run - sorry this is so brief.
I've been looking up info, online, about how to take care of Sophie
Have a good day!!!!

.

I almost called her last night to check in on everyone and got side-tracked. Hmmmmm....shall I call now and make sure they are awake? :lmao:

One week and it's your turn for a Disney vacation adventure!:thumbsup2

Have a good Sunday everyone.

Slo---you may want to not feed Sophie puppy food today with her issues. When Jessie has vomiting and/or intestinal issues, I make her some rice w/chicken broth. If she handles the rice mix, you can add green beans and a meat (low fat choice). We also give Jessie a small bit of Pepto Bismal (vet tech neighbor suggested this to us when Jessie was a puppy), however it is the only medicine that she won't take willingly. Pedialyte (unflavored) and baby food can be given to dogs.

:flower3: I hope Katie feels better tonight.
