Escape to Neverland - A new Tagliarchy adventure!!

Good morning everyone
Well today is lovely and sunny so I think I will spend the day tidying up the garden. Pete is finally finishing off the bunny hutch so they can sleep outside now. Today though we have to take both cats to the vets for their booster injections. They both know they are going as they have been kept in after breakfast so Cheeky is currently hiding under the bed and Figaro is hiding under the sofa I am siting on! I need to take one of the new bunnies too as her teeth are growing at an angle and I think one needs filing back.

NC Belle I'd love to hear your reviews on the new Italian place plus Yak and Yeti. Where is The Wave located? I've never heard of that one. I wish we could book our ADR's for our August trip but we can't book them until 60 days before.

Danauk--- I hope that the bunnies and cats will do okay. Jessie's vet office is great and they send her cards for special occasions.
Its Jessie's birthday---she's 6 years old.:wizard:

The Wave is opening in the CR on the lobby level where the arcade/counter service used to be (the Concourse Steakhouse is closing this week---Chef Mickey is expanding/Chef Mickey's Express to be built in its location).

:surfweb:

I'm sorry this going to be a very quick post this morning. I have my glucose intolerance test at 8am, and before that I have to take the girls to my inlaws - so I don't have a lot of time to post this morning, but I did read everyone's posts :)

Well, I gotta go jump in the shower
Have a good day today everyone!!!

Slo I hope your tests go well.

Thanks for the explanation NCBelle, what type of food will The Wave sell?

Well we just got back from the vets. The cats behaved well and had all their injections. Cheeky needs to be put on a diet as he had put on 1/2kg since his last visit!! My bunny Jessica needs an operation. Her lower jaw has a slight overhang which means she can't grind her front teeth. The vet said that as they grow quickly they would need cutting every month for life!! Or she said as she is so young they could remove them as she does not really need them as they use their back teeth more. So she is having them taken out in 3 weeks time. They clipped her current teeth for now and her top teeth had grown and curled around so much they were going in to the roof of her mouth!!! But she is out in the run now eating so she seems happy.

DanaUK glad the cats are ok. Sorry to hear about the operation for the bunny Jessica. Hope that she will be ok and bounce back soon.

NCB - happy b'day to Jessie We ate at Wolfgang puck express for the first night.. it was a CS but we all thought it was a perfect for the first night.Your ADRs look great. We ate at Bomas ( me and geoff) Scott and Eric in Mexico dinner place. We ate at Wolfgang puck regualr resturant and I thought it was great but the guys rated it just ok. They liked the dinner at the Seas in Epcot Coral Reef..

Scott and I are reviewing the excursions for the cruise.. It is so hard to decide..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET SOPHIA!!!

It's been a long day, but a good day. Sophia got me up around 8:00 this morning. Ian got up about 30 minutes later. We all played for a couple hours before getting dressed and having breakfast. (OF was off to work early, before the rest of us got up.) The kids and I finally left the house around noon and then met up with OF and his mother for lunch after they got off work. Then the real fun began.

DMIL introduced Sophia to a new religion for her birthday. She bought Sophia her first American Girl doll. I knew we had an AG store here that opened a few months ago but had no idea what it was like inside. After picking out the baby for Sophia we wandered around a bit. My jaw dropped when I saw the salon area with a row of about 8 salon chairs for the dolls - and a stylist at each one! What has DMIL gotten us into??? Thankfully Sophia isn't old enough yet to "get it".

The rest of the day was mostly just playing, eating and bathing the kids. Ian gave Sophia his present right before bedtime - another baby doll, that he'd picked out earlier in the week. Now the house is nice and quiet, with most of the chores finished. Ahhh, peace. I think I'll go veg for a while - while I wait for the next load of laundry to finish.

I hope all of you that are Mother's, Step-Mothers, Aunts, Grandmas, Godmothers and everything else has a fantastic day today!!!!! :flower2:

Today will be a nice day here, even though the weather is crappy :umbrella: My mom is going to church with us this morning, and then she is getting KFC, my dad, and then coming over to eat. My brother and SIL both have to work, but my brother will come a little later in the day.

We actually started Mother's Day on Friday night. Kevin is never home this weekend (he's at the Indy Motor Speedway), so I got my gifts on Friday night. I got a new Big Fig and (2) new Disney Precious Moments - I loved my gifts!!!!:goodvibes Then last night the girls and I took my mom out for dinner and a movie for Mother's Day - it was a nice time!!!! :goodvibes

The blood test yesterday went well. The nurses said that I have low blood sugar, but the doctor will analyze everything and let me know what is going on. All I know, is that awful drink gave me a headache yesterday, so I still know that I can't have sugars w/o feeling like garbage. So, I'm still going to have to really monitor my food

RRBB - Happy Birthday to little Sophia!!!!!

I'm glad you all had a great day on her first birthday!!!! :goodvibes

Danauk - Poor little bunny!!!!! :guilty: I hope the surgery is a success and that she bounces back soon :wizard: You'll have to let us know how it went after it's done.

geffric - I've always wanted to try Wolfgangs - do you think the girls would like it?

Belle - Your ADR's tell me that I need to get my butt moving and make mine - I've never waited this long before:eek: With us staying off property, it makes me feel like a fish out of water on what I"m doing. I definitly know that I want to eat at LTT on the night we go to MNSSHP - so I better make that tomorrow.

Well, I better go get ready for church, and eat some breakfast.
Have a great day today everyone!!!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY

geffric - I've always wanted to try Wolfgangs - do you think the girls would like it?

The whole group really like wolfgang Puck express. Scott and Geoff had a lasnagna, Eric and I had salads we all had drinks and cookies. Great meal. As far as the regular Wolfgang Pucks.. I had a great meal and so did Geoff.. There are so many wonderful places at WDW that I don;t think we will go back. That is the metric I used.. will you go back and pay OOP...everybody loved Consourse steakhouse and would go back..

RRBB Happy B'day to Sophia

I'm so sorry!! Our mothers day was a few months ago so I didn't realise!!

Happy mothers day to all you moms (not mums!!)

I hope you all had a great day.

:cutie: RRBB- I'm glad that Sophia had a great first birthday.

Baby nephew update: He is predicted as being an estimated 4 pounds at 32 or 33 weeks (due in July) so he may be a big boy. My Mom is excited about going to MA this week and says that it hard to keep this week's trip a secret.

We got a new toy (fiber reinforced toy tire) for Jessie, however she does not maintain interest in it for more than 5 minutes a time. :confused3 I guess that she wanted doggy ice cream. I had placed the toy in her bed so maybe her scent on it would get her more motivated in playing.

Slo--I recommend bring some salt/pepper/other seasonings if you planning on cooking some meals at the condo. Publix has a nice selection at the deli when we went with NC Beast's parents to get some items. The in-laws did not want to stay on-site so we shared some of our free dining meals with them. I guess one of you could get an AP so the parking would be free and get the dining discount card (not sure of its price) if the money saved on the on-site resteraunts would be worth the cost.
I still need to call Dining for a couple of changes and add a couple of more reservations.

Danauk-- I'm not totally sure what The Wave will have in the menu until its opening,, but I remember seeing the desserts being samplers with a theme and some kind of fusion for the main courses.

:surfweb:

I had a very nice Mother's Day yesterday!!!
The weather was really crappy, which was a shame, so we just relaxed inside:)

geffric - Wolfgangs was really expensive? I don't think we'll go then:sad2:
**Concourse Steakhouse is one of my favorite restaurants on property, and it breaks my heart that I won't have one more chance to eat there before they remove it :sad1:

Danuak - thanks!!!! :goodvibes

Belle - What is an AP? I"m drawing a blank, and I'm sure as soon as you say it, I'll know it

Well, I gotta go and workout - I"m not sure what I'm doing yet :scratchin
It's cold outside, so I may workout in the house.
Have a good day today everyone!!

SLO wolfgang Puck's is on DDP ( or it was last year) so it was worth it to try. Menu's are on the DIS. Wolfgang Puck express is CS and i liked the salad enough to eat there anyway.

AP - annual pass

NCB sounds like he will be a big boy. !!! Hope all goes well..

Tuesday---dinner at Tutto Italia...new to us

Wednesday---Yak and Yeti late lunch...new to us

Saturday--- The Wave.....new

NC Belle - Really want to hear back about these too! :)

Danuak - Hope bunnykins will be fine.

Hope you all had a great :flower3: Mommy's Day! :yay:

Belle - What is an AP? I"m drawing a blank, and I'm sure as soon as you say it, I'll know it ...

AP--- annual pass

I'm not sure if buying it will save $$$, but, you need to estimate meals/parking/other discount (dining, tours,?) to see if it is worth the extra investment for one adult to have the AP.

We don't get the DDP, because it's not worth it for us right now :sad2: So, I really need to make sure a restaurant is worth our while when we don't have the DDP. I'm really kicking myself for not trying more new restaurants when we had the free dining 2 years ago. Oh well, maybe next time!!!!

How could I not remember that AP was for annual pass :headache: I knew I would know it the minute you wrote it:upsidedow Sometimes I don't think straight this early in the morning:rolleyes:

Thanks geffric and Belle for letting me know

So how is everyone today?
This week my class are sitting their end of school exams. Every year 6 child in the country has to sit the same exam on the same day this week then the papers are sent off and we get the results in July. As you know we have been getting a lot if inspectors in lately (they are back on Tuesday for more observations!!) So this morning after our morning briefing a different inspector turned up for an unnanounced exam inspection! Great!! So the inspector watched me administor the exam to my class to check we were doing it correctly! Obviously everything was done correctly and we got a superb, but seriously how many more visits do we need from inspectors!! Then to top it all off I find out the teacher I work with has been signed off with stress for 3 weeks so my team (meaning me and 3 assistants) have to pick up her work load as well (she is very behind with lots of things so we have to get them up to date for her before the inspectors arrive next week!!) They have organised a cover teacher for her class, but most of them are not too good. They expect us to plan work for them and they do not mark any books (even though they are supposed to do both.)
Sorry, I'll take a breath and stop ranting now!! I hope you all are having a better day!!

WOW! :scared: I think I need to "signed off with stress" from reading this!
you can do this in england - say "I'm too stressed" and check out for a while?
And still have a job to return to? WOW again.
Good luck sweetey.

Yes if the doctor signs you off with stress you are off work. At my place out of the 9 teachers I think only 3 of us including myself have not been off due to stress at some point. Teaching in the UK is a very secure job, it is very hard to fire a teacher. We do not have a set amount of sick days. If you are sick, you are sick. Although after 4 days off you do need a doctors note. This doesn't happen in other jobs though in England. My assistants husband works in a factory as a manager. He can loose his job if he even has a few days off sick.

Today is my day off!!!!! :woohoo:
I have a lot going on too ::yes::
This morning I go to the doctor to discuss the results of that glucose intolerance test, then I need to go to work for a short bit to place an order, than my mom and I are going to go buy our flowers (I love doing this, and it's one of my favorite days of the year), and then I have a lot of misc type things to do after that. It'll be a busy day, but still great, because I can do it at a relaxing pace:thumbsup2

I went and got my haircut yesterday, and I got approx 4 inches cut off - I love it!!!!!:goodvibes I was starting to feel like I had a lions mane around my face, and I was just tired of it!!!!!

Danauk - I"m so sorry about all the stress at your work  I would be curious about how your education system compares to our education system - I bet it's so much better because of all these inspectors. I don't think anything like that ever happens here:sad2: Good luck with everything at work, while that one person is on stress-leave:wizard: Take care of yourself, so you don't have to be one of those people to someday

To everyone else - :wave2:

Well, I gotta run and get myself going - have a good day today everyone!!
