We got some bad news today (here's an part of the family/friends newsletter that MIL made):

It is with a heavy heart that I tell you that Andy has not “bounced back” as we had hoped, and as expressed in my message of last week.

He grows progressively weaker by the day, and we beg you to continue in prayer for him.

We are blessed by your love and support, and that of our priest friends who have stopped in over the past few days. Andy was anointed last evening by Monsignor J. following Mass here at home.

Some of you have asked to come for a visit, and as much as we would welcome such, my beloved tells me he is “much too tired.” Please know, however, of our deep gratitude and the hope that you will understand.

I just emailed and talked to NC Beast. We were very concerned about FIL during the weekend when he sounded so very weak (more than in March). Last night, we were hoping FIL would make it to their 49th anniversary in September...but, we did not know about the mass/what was once known as the last rites.

Okay, so we have a trip to WDW planned for October 25-November 4. MNSSHP on the 27th. And we want to do Hoop Dee Doo Review, too. As much as I'm looking forward to the trip, I haven't really spent much time thinking about it until recently. But now those thoughts are going on hold for a while longer because...

As I type this OF is in the process of booking a week at Disneyland next month. He came home from work yesterday and told me he needs a vacation. The options he threw out at me 1) WDW, 2) DL, 3) DCL or 4) DL-Paris. Hmmm, you think he needs a "Happy" fix???

So it looks like we'll be at DL August 9-14 (travel on 8 & 15) and WDW October 26-November 3 (travel on 25 & 4). Anyone gonna be at those parks during those dates?

We called MIL this evening: the doctor dropped by their apartment and confirmed that FIL is now in the active dying process. It looks like not in the next day or two, but under a week or two. FIL is not eating, but he is still taking liquids. Most of the time, FIL is in bed since its hurts him to much to be in a chair for an extended time. He is starting to want not many visitors which he loved it when there were people dropping by in the past 4 months. He says that he is so tired and ready to go.

MIL is hanging in there okay. The oldest son arrived to help. Son #3 is local and he has been fielding e-mails and phone messages for MIL.

Today, NC Beast tried on his sport jacket---it is now almost too loose. We went out and got him a new pair of pants (a couple of sizes down since April). I hope his mom likes his latest hair cut---she hated the last couple styles. I having been looking for some nice tops/shirts/dresses, but the styles are too wedding oriented, causal, and not the best patterns/colors. I'm going out again tomorrow to look.

RRBB--- we don't know for sure on our next WDW trip dates. NC Beast needs a vacation, but a lot of his regular pto has been used and some are planned for the Christmas holiday week. My AP expires 10/19 so that may play in the dates. I'm not sure if I will solo for my birthday week which would match some of your days. Our other possible dates could be on a federal holiday weekend since NC B. gets those days as well.

Sorry I haven't been on here for a couple of days, but I've been getting to work really early due to all the work I have to do. In fact, I'm going in to work as soon as I'm done DISing. I'm having a great month at my store!!!!


Today is the Fire Dept picnic, so that should be a nice time. It's always nice to catch up with many of the FD wives, and some of it's members. Then I'm hoping to come home and spend some time in the pool, or relax by the pool when the girls are in it.


Belle - So many hugs to you and your DH during this difficult time I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers, and please please keep us updated on his condition. We are always here for you both!!!



Well, I gotta got and get to work, so I can leave and go to the picnic - busy day!!

Nothing happened on the in-law front on Sunday.

NC B. and I went to do some shopping today saw something unusual. We watched a peacock crossing the road to get to some woods. We have no idea where it came from except maybe a farmer or someone dabbling in a hobby.

I am really sorry to see this weekend go.
I had to work ALOT, but it was still a great weekend.

Saturday night we had a fire with our neighbors, and my BFF w/ her DD came over too - it was a lot of fun, and the kids had a great time!!!!

Sunday we had the FD picnic - that was fun seeing everyone. We had some new babies there, and they were fun to see and hold - so sweet!!!! Then last night we had some pizza with our neighbors, while Kevin helped my neighbor (the DH) start putting up his girls swingset. The swingset is large, and they got the first phase done, and then all the guys (FD guys) came over, and sat at Kevin's bar. It sounded like they were having some good laughs down there. I have no idea what time they left, or when Kevin came to bed.

Hi guys
Sorry I have been MIA again for a few days, things got a little hectic around here. We have 4 more days left of school and I am trying my hardest to get everything done before Friday so that I do not have to go into school during the holidays (if I manage it, which is looking promising, it will be the 1st time in 11 years that I have not had to go in during the summer break!) I will still have maybe 2 days worth of planning and things to do at home, but not having to go in to the actual school building will be great.

Also at the moment we are doing one of our yearly garden projects. This time Pete is taking down our shed (it is finally empty and the contents are neatly in our garage, and we can still get the car in!!). But before the shed comes down Pete needs to build a new wall that joins on to our garden room, currently one shed wall with the door in is part of the garden room wall, so that needs replacing. Then once that is all done we can build the deck, bridge over the pond and pergola. All before we go to WDW on August 15th!!

Well I better go, Pete is instructing me to look at the now empty shed!

Belle, so sorry to hear that Andy is getting worse. We knew it was coming but it doesn't make it easier. Now that I have his real name I won't have to pray for Belle's FIL! *smile* hang in there. pLease keep us posted. I will try to be better about checking in

Military rate at POP is $55 per night..

I got that rate for our trip next month in a preferred room. Normally I have to get the rooms back in the boonies. We may stay an extra day. We only have two days booked right now.

Has anyone stayed at Four Points Sheraton by Universal? I got the free superbowl ticket from Universal and I can get Lauren one for $89. I wanted to stay somewhere where I wouldn't have to drive and that was close by. I got the info on the hotel from Mousesavers. Anyone been there??

The explanation of the Tagliarchy is the following....
