Hi everyone...back to the normal routine. My last child left yesterday and I feel like an empty nester-at least until 3pm when my 9 yr old comes home!

Geffric-sorry about the hair. Same thing happened to Sam and they actually fixed it. She wanted "Belle Brown" and it came out "Ariel red"-well not that dramatic but it was to her!! Good luck. And have fun with ibounce!!

Yen Sid- congrats on your schooling! With a graduation and wedding to plan you will be busy in a good way!!

Slo-sorry Katie did not sleep well. I can totally relate!!

Ariel- wow, I didn't realize you had a huge trip coming up! That is a lot of planning. Do you plan on shopping much down here?

Rikku-cute commercials. I need to share them with my daughter. She remembers me telling her about you and the theater years ago. She is off to NYC next summer to live and work. She was there this past summer and saw about EVERY broadway show imaginable. With student tickets at $25 each, she couldn't pass it up. Her company paid for her food, lodging and gave her a pretty decent salary so she spent all of her money on the theater. She was one of the audience participants in the Putnam Spelling Bee show with Darrell Hammond. She had a ball. Peopel actaully thought she was part of the show and asked her for autographs at the end of the play. She was in 7th heaven.

Off to start the day. Need to get my life back in order. But the Wii is making it very difficult. I love Guiar Hero. I'm only on easy but mastering it to I am almost ready to move to medium. I am not coordinated at all so I am very proud of myself!! hehehe TTFN

Ah you'll be back to DL before you know it. And in the meantime you have WDW 24 hours a day to keep you entertained, what could be better . Have fun, I would love to hear all about it.

I can't imagine what it will be like to get to go to the world whenever I want!

CMOM-- you have been missed.. how are things at your end??

My hair is just gonna stay the way it is.. i don't have the time to fix it. People at work are being polite and not saying anything.. really not a word..

Today is one of those days that I shouldn't be here.. went to make my oatmeal.. no bowls .. so I grabbed a cup.. I watched and watched the cup so it wouldn't spill over and wham.!! it was all over the glass microwave tray.. so I put the cup on a napkin, went to the ladies room to clean the oatmeal off of the glass tray ( no we don't have a sink or running water in the office.).. put the tray back and walked to my cube with the cup of what was left of the oatmeal.

I placed the cup down, and went to eat what was left and WHAM it spilled all over my laptop.. so I tried to blot it up but the laptop was not happy..I worked to blot but finally had to go to the IT Director and explain that I had killed my laptop..

he replaced it and gave me a lecture on backing up my files and not eating by the laptop.. I should go home!! and back to bed before I do anymore damage..

ibouncetoo Nope it only the 2 American parks that have the same celebrations. The others do their own things. DLRP had its 15th anniversary celebrations (for 2 years!), but there was no dream team etc. The next thing is a Mickey celebration thing, not really sure what it is about to be honest! Certainly no free ntry on birthdays. When the family who won the major dream prize of visiting every Disney park came to Paris there was a slight problem. Part of the prize was to be grand marshal in the parade, only at DLRP there is no such thing.

Sorry for the quick post, just dropping by really quickly, school is back and I have a lot of work to do!!

We do a lot of shopping in the parks but apart from that we only plan to visit Mall at Millenia and maybe Florida Mall. I love visiting Tiffanys

Oh and I just got Nick Guitar Hero for christmas too. I am rubbish, I cannot master the fingers. Nick on the other hand has got it down to a tee, I think he has been secretly practicing when he should be at work or something

I can't imagine what it will be like to get to go to the world whenever I want!

Yeah I love those malls too. Yep, I did my first medium yesterday and sucked. Oh well. And I practice when no one is around too! heheheheh

Got the military special where active duty gets a free 5 day hopper and dependents get a 5 day pass for $99. So all we have to do it pay for room and food. Speaking of...has onyone ever done the dining plan before???

we did the dining plan a few years ago before they made the changes. ( had salad or appetizers and included tip) DSs loved it.. we went to a bunch of restuarants we never were at before and told the kids they could order anything on the menu.. it was very exciting and the bill each night was over $200 for the four of us..but since we had the dining plan it was FREE>>

We usually took dessert back to the room for breakfast or last night snack for the kids..

Due to the military rate which includes retired military like DH, we are thinking of going this summer. Eric can bring a friend! ! as Geoff will be working at camp.. we are looking at the counterservice plan not sure if we will add it..

C-Mom....when are you going?

I've done the dining plan (the old one--too much food) and will be doing the current plan in September. I wish you had your choice of EITHER appy or dessert and not just dessert. It will work for us this trip, because the four of us are 'foodies' and would do table service every day, as well as a signature restaurant anyway. I'll just have to keep telling myself I can have all the appetizers I want when I get on the ship!

C-mom----- NC B. and I have done the dining plan on most of our past trips (except the October trip since we were off-site except for 1 night).


We did the regular plan and it is not as a bargain as it was in 2006, but we still came out ahead (Dec. 2007, Summer 2008---free...but, paid rack for Coronado Springs). We miss the snack options of 2007 when you were able to have a family size box of cookies and big bag of chips. In 2008, choices were more restricted and some snacks like the Dole Whip shrank. This year may be more limited like it was years ago.

I was able to get an appetizer at Le Cellier on the 2008 regular dining plan because they were experimenting with a menu area with a set price/choices.

I wished that I got the DDE/Tables in Wonderland last year because we could had save some money on the TS choices and the alcohol choices.

We like using cs credits at Sunshine Seasons and Coronado's Pepper Market. We used our snack credits on mostly frozen drinks because of the late summer trip.

ibounce we are going I think on March 28-April 4. This was totally spontanious. I havent' even told dh yet. He really does not like going to Disney. But we need him for the tickets!! hehehehe We will also do Sea World. But they took out the free beer tent so he will be bummed about that. That was his favorite part. With new owners I am thinking there will be a lot of changes....

Hi all - I hope everyone is doing well. It looks like the thread has been active for the past few days. I need to go back and see what I missed.

Brindle seems to be doing fine. We keep her in a crate when we are not home. Hopefully she will get her stitches out and be free to jump on our bed this weekend

All that remains on the master bathroom remodel is the shower door. Today he placed sealed the tile. We can't use it for three days - so the tear out of the main bath will begin on Monday. It should do a lot quicker because it is less complicated tile work.

I really wish our master wasn't so small. One - I want a bigger bathroom and Two - I can't get good pictures of it.

This is the new fixture in the sink.

Hi guys...look at the time. I am never up this late. Just wanted to say GO GATORS! Another championship for us!!! During the last 4 years Sam has been at UF they have won two basketball and two football national championships!! WOW!! I will be eating no humble pie tomorrow!
