Escape: Swap Ceremony Photos for Illuminations Photos?

Does anyone know if you can swap the 2 hours of wedding photography included in the Escape package for 2 hours of photography at your Illuminations dessert party? Hope...hope...hope...

That is a GREAT idea! If it is possible I just might be adding a dessert party to my bill! I would much rather have that than the honeymoon shoot!

I emailed DFTW. They said you can't swap the wedding photography for dessert-party photography, but they'll happily sell you a 1-hour dessert-party photography package for $350. It includes 40 4x6 prints.

Not to hijack the thread, and I'm sorry you guys can't swap out for the photography you wanted, but thought I'd put in my $.02 anyway. We LOVED our honeymoon shoot. They were our favorite pics by far (including our Randy photography, our castle shoot, and our PhotoPASS pics). I know it's sort of hinges on how great your photographer is...in that case, everyone should ask for Bryan Mazur!

We were miserable during the shoot (hot, crowded, sticky, ugh) but he was amazing and our photographs came out great!

Thanks for checking...Juliana still hasn't gotten back to me about it. What a bummer! I wonder if Randy could come back for an hour and for how much? I don't really want to spend another $350 and who needs 40 pictures of a one hour event?? I just want a few nice photos with the fireworks in the background. We may just settle for dad and his digital camera!

I think the honeymoon photo swap is great too. The only thing brides need to be aware of is that DFTW just changed it so that you get only 2 photos from the shoot, in a folio. Boooo!

That's right, I forgot about that! A;as, she means 2, not 20. There was a whole thread about it a few weeks ago. But free is free and eventually you could buy the CD, so if you could squeeze it into your schedules, I'd do it anyway.

Technically, it's not free...but it's my choice to hire an outside vendor I suppose. When I booked mine with Rosie I was told I would get 20 photos and I believe Juliana told me 12 (or vice versa)...anyway, since that's what I was told...I'm going to hold them to it otherwise I probably won't get it. It just seems like a big waste of time. I guess if we have the extra time it wouldn't be a big deal but I don't think I'm going to try to squeeze it into my schedule for only 2 pics and the extra expense of a CD...bah!

That's funny that Rosie would tell you one thing and me another...especially since your wedding is a few days before mine. It was about a month ago that I talked to her...Hmmmmm....

That's what they're saying...I just emailed Rosie to find out for myself. I'm a tad irritated by the whole thing. I mean what sense does it make? Why would you only want 2 photos? Oh...I know...so you're forced to buy the CD and spend MORE money...because the 20 grand they are making from my family and myself that week is not enough! If I'm going to buy a CD it will be the photopass.

It all depends on the timing. The change occurred roughly a month ago, so I would say if Rosie told you 20, you will get the 20. If you talked to her after the change went into effect, then you will get the 2. This is one reason I like my correspondence to be in emails, then I have it in writing.

I will say that we lucked out with our planning as we booked long enough ago that we are getting the MK Shoot for the old price and we are swapping out for the honeymoon shoot and getting the 20 print folio. I just got my BEO today and double checked it to make sure !!

Keep in mind that Disney (like everyone else) is constantly changing, so if there is something you think you want, have it added to your package at the time...you can always cancel it later if you change your mind or need to cut corners, but that way you are booked at the pricing and plan when it suits your needs.

Thank you...I just went through my emails hoping I had it in writing but I couldn't find it...I'm pretty sure she told me over the phone...I really wish I had it in black and white...
