If we add a reception to an Escape Package are we limited to the number of guests there as well?

We're a little over the 25 number, but we know a couple of wives who would be okay sitting with the kids and just coming to the reception. We're looking at having 27-30 total.

We thought about just having a small kids event set up, but we do want Mickey and Minnie at the reception and we'd like everyone to be together for that.

Thanks

From my understanding planning my own escape wedding - Disney is strict with the wedding numbers, but because you are responsible for making the reservations for your reception it can be for as many people as you like.
The reception is not included in the escape package so they cannot limit numbers for an add-on reception.
Just keep an eye on the number of guests for some of the private dining rooms - they have small maxiums (eg. 12).
Hope this helps!

I was told that it was no problem to have any number of people at my Escape reception. But they said they could not come until the appointed time for the start of the reception, and they could not attend the cake cutting portion. I would just clarify with your WC.

Hope that helps!

I was under the impression that if you made the reception arrangements with a restuarant directly or through the dining line it didn't matter the number of people coming, only the Escape elements limit the guest count.

I have a 1/17/10 Escape wedding at SBP with a luncheon at the Attic.

We're having the 25 guests for the ceremony ( paying the $500 for the extra guests) and 30 people at the luncheon. Our dessert party also has 30 people. The only restriction we were given on using the Attic or any of the ballrooms for our lunch was a 2 hour time limit.

There are minimums for each room and each meal if you decide to go that way rather than a restaurant. When we started out, our party was much smaller and I wanted a semi-private room in a restaurant. But once we started getting to larger numbers of people, it just seemed to make sense to go with a ballroom or equivalent. I wasn't happy with the ballrooms, and asked about the Attic instead and my planner said "no problem, let me make sure it is available." Plus, it turned out to have lower minimums than the ballrooms that were open to us.

So that is a long way of saying double check with your WC, but I wasn't limited to the number of people! :)

Just like Bridie said- you can have as many people as you want at your reception! We had our ceremony at SBP and reception at the St. James room at the Boardwalk Convention center- and we had no problems at all!
