We're hoping to have our reception meal at Citrico's Chef's Domaine, and are trying to budget accordingly.

We'll be choosing from the normal menu rather than a set menu, so are working out our budget based on the most expensive menu items people could choose, just to be safe.

There will be tax on this I presume as everywhere, is it 6.5%?

Will there be a service charge on the meal at all?

We're not planning on serving our cake there, so there won't be a fee for that.

We'll be using a Tables in Wonderland card, so this will take care of the gratuity side of things in with our discount, so it's really just the service charge I'm not sure about.

Thanks in advance for your help! :thumbsup2

How many guest can get the meals of wonderland discount?
Is there a limit?
As far as service charge, I have no idea. Is it a private room or just a regular reservation?

I didn't think the Tables in Wonderland card worked at the chef's table.

Also, the card only works for 10 guests. I'm not sure how stirct that is, but that is also something to consider.

I know I've heard from previous brides that they have been able to get the discount, even though it is a private room, from ordering from the main menu.

A single card is for up to 10 people, but if we buy another card so we have one each, that's for up to another 10. Although I have heard of people just using one card for more than 10 and the discount was applied to everyone.

No-one have any clue about whether there is a service charge then?

Every other meal I've seen people talking about has the 21% service charge added on, I wouldn't imagine that Citrico's would be any different...

Gratuity and service charge = the same thing at Walt Disney World. Because you are using the Tables In Wonderland card, they will automatically tack on an 18% gratuity. The only other charge is tax.

Even if you weren't using the TIW card, there would still be an automatic 18% gratuity (only Disney Catering events have the 21% gratuity) because you have a large party.

Okay so I need menu cost + tax at 6.5%? - 2% discount effectively? And that's it?

Lurkyloo said that with Tables in Wonderland they will add 18% so you'll need to factor that in as well.

But it gives you a 20% discount, so with those cancelling each other out, it's effectively a 2% discount, I think?

Hm, they may add grat for the full cost, then only discount the actual meal price. I'm no math whiz but that calculation should give you a good estimate!
