I can't remember but is there a minimum (people that is) for the Escape package?

I know the max is 20 (including us), but can't remember if there is a minimum. We're having our VR at the Wedding Pavilion.

I'm sort of freaking out because everyone that said they would come (when I sent our StDs) are now saying they can't make it. So we've gone from 20 down to 6 maybe 7. I still haven't heard from a couple of folks, but the majority can't make it. Which includes all of DH's family. He's mostly ticked about his father not coming. His dad missed our wedding b/c his younger brother called him and said "don't come". We didn't know that until way after we had gotten married. And the reason he isn't coming now is b/c he can't afford it. He wanted to use his airline miles but is using them all to go to visit his brother (a month before we have our VR). We've even told him we have a room for him (we're using our DVC points and rented him a room); and I asked him to escort me down the aisle. He's never bothered to answer me about that.

Anyway...sorry for the vent. But I was just wondering about the minimum number of people that can be at the event.

Thanks!

Michelle

Sorry to hear that your family isn't going to make it to the VR but there is no minimum for the guest count.

I'm sorry to hear your guests aren't going to make it. We've had a very similar situation, plenty of people said they'd be coming and now we're less than three months out and we only have 4 guests (3 of whom are my parents and brother!). It appears as though most of our friends are due babies around our wedding!

There's absolutely no minimum guest count for the ceremony, but just be aware that a head count of less than 10 can cause issues if you're planning a privately catered event through DFTW. I recently found that one out myself when I had an email from my planner to say the chefs weren't willing to do a buffet for so few guests at our buffet only location! Thankfully she has managed to negotiate a plated menu instead but it got pretty scary there for a while.

I'm so glad to hear there isn't a minimum! We're planning our own dinner for our guests so we shouldn't have a problem there (we're going to Wilderness Canyon and I've already made ressie's for that and we plan to just let everyone order directly from the menu - we figured it would probably be cheaper).

It really irks me that DH's family isn't coming. Especially since we've been married 20 years and I have yet to meet my father-in-law! I've told DH, the more I know of his family the less I am inclined to even want to know them! He is beginning to feel the same way. At least some of our friends are coming! Like the saying goes...you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family!

Thanks again for answering my question!
