Hi all

I was wondering what people have done for thier reception party for the escape package?

we were thinking to go to the spirit of aloha dinner show, but are now thinking that there might be too many people there??

also does anybody know if we could book the fantasmic dessert party for our reception?

I hear a lot that people are doing DP's or doing dinner at a restaurant. I thought doing that you would be confined to the table and not be able to move around and enjoy yourself.

We also have others coming down for the reception so we are holding it at my parents house that they are renting and we are ordering catering. This way we can all walk around, the kids have the pool and we can relax.

We had a private reception at the Key West Room at the GF then a DP at Sago Cay.

We're having our reception at Sago Cay Pointe there at the Grand Floridian. Since we're getting married at the WP, which has the cake/champagne celebration on Commander's Terrace at the GF, this made the most sense to us!

We really wanted something where we could watch the firewords AND keep our outside photographer! :)

We originally booked it as a DP, but since we're having a 5:00pm ceremony and there won't be time in between for dinner, we decided to do hot appetizers and an open bar for our guests at SCP instead of dessert.

We're going to do a mock cake cutting at Commander's Terrace, so basically just do the first cut and feed each other, then have Disney cut and serve the rest of the cake down at SCP

We had two receptions with our Escape package: a brunch reception at the Attic, and a dinner reception at Sago Cay. We absolutely loved Sago Cay!

We had the cake cutting/champagne at White Hall Patio and dinner at Citricos in the GF (not the private room because we had too many people). It was great because we were married at the Wedding Pavilion and the proximity of our reception dinner made it easy for our guests. We got to watch the Wishes fireworks that night, too :goodvibes
