Hey ladies!

So Escape brides and brides-to-be can I see pictures or hear descriptions of your decorations and how much extra they cost? I'm going to be talking with DFTW on Monday and wanted to get a basic idea of what I should get pricing on. Or more like what will be OUT of my price range!

I'm not looking for anything extravagant, I just don't want the poor cake all by itself on the table! :)

TIA!

While you're waiting... ;) I can tell you that Disney has props and draping that they use to stage the cake table at Escape weddings for no extra fee - it isn't like your cake is just sitting on a bare table. What they use varies by reception location, but they do "clouding" with the linens and arrange things like plants or baskets around the cake - it's quite nice.

Here's a shot of the cake table for an Escape wedding at Sea Breeze Pointe, before the cake got there:

And here's one at Commander's Terrace, the reception location for Escape events at the Wedding Pavilion:

Thank you lurkyloo! :) Sometimes you never know what basic really means...

My decorations and descriptions are in my TR :thumbsup2

Your ceremony was sooo beautiful! :)

Just a couple of questions though: So basically you only paid extra for the flowers in the aisle and the chair covers? Everything else was pretty standard?

Just curious because I am so sold on those chair covers now, I couldn't imagine it without them!

OH and I was going to ask about the table for the sand ceremony. Was that all pretty much standard or did you have to specify colors, and the glass jars for the sand?

Oh no. Nothing was standard. I paid for everything. All Disney provides is chairs (uncovered), a sand/candle ceremony table with linen, and the cake table with linen/decor that Lurkyloo posted. Everything else is separate. I paid for the chair covers, petals in the aisle, all the decor on the sand ceremony table, the columns with flowers in vases on either side of the aisle.

My chair covers with bows were $8.50 each

I requested ivory linens on the sand ceremony table. You do not pay to have the sand ceremony table covered. Everything else (the flowers, the petals, and the sand ceremony kit) I paid for. The sand ceremony kit Disney gives you is a plain glass jar. I bought my own from http://kensingtonclassics.com/8534+Heart+Shaped+Unity+Sand+Ceremony+Set_keyword:sand+ceremony; You have to pay for the sand as well.

The little things add up, believe me.

Please tell me I can have them NIX the "clouding"!!! Sorry. Not a fan. At all. Looks like rumpled used napkins to me. :rotfl:

Hehehehe. I don't know. I'm sure it depends on your planner. But I don't see why they couldn't just lay it flat. I didn't really care and didn't feel like wasting any more money, but I agree. I'm not a fan of the plastic ivy either :lmao:

LOL If they tell me that I have to pay for them to lay the table cloth flat I'm gonna laugh at them...and then have a bridezilla moment.:rotfl::rotfl2::rotfl:

YES!!! I hated it too. I had them write into my BEO "NO CLOUDING on the cake table" and sure enough, we got a nice smooth surface under the cake.

:thumbsup2
