Hello, my fellow Escape brides to be and those who have!

Did you choose any enhancements? If so, what did you go with?

As of now, we are looking at doing a floral enhancement (something for my FG, MOH, and single roses for our mothers; an altar decoration, and maybe petals on the side of the WP aisle) and upgrading photography to Cinderella Package C.

For those of you who have already had your wedding, do you think the enhancements were worth it, or would you not bother if you could do it over again?

TIA!

hmmmm how do I feel about the enhancements?

Our enhancements were:

Mad Hatter Cake- this was DH's request, and it came out great. Everyone loved it and we are still get compliments on it- how it tasted, how it looked, how "cool" it was.

Bout for BM- he loved the hidden Mickey in it!

Bouquet for MOH- I thought it would be larger, but loved the green of her orchids against the royal blue of her gown.

petals down the aisle- Torn on this. I wanted them very badly, and got them but it was super windy on our wedding day, so most of them blew away and I didn't get the picture that I had envisioned. Not Disney's fault. They can control a lot, but not the weather!

Flower arrangements at the archway of SBP- ahhhh could have taken them or left them personally. What I wanted was out of my price range, so I just told Rosie to go with the usual but in colors that matched what I had already chosen. I really didn't care.

MK and Epcot Bridal shoot- LOVED IT! Definately worth it!

I'm not sure if that helps you, but hope it does. :goodvibes

We are getting married in EPCOT/Canada 10-10-10. We figure that the location itself is so beautiful that we are going with some autumn colored aisle rose petals and the benches, that's all. The cake & bouquet will share the same flowers-tropical bouquet with brown ribbon and emphasis on l autumn colors. Like you we are upgrading to the Cinderella C with DVD for the ceremony, an EPCOT shoot with Jasmine upgrade with DVD and a "Trash the Dress". We are going with the Mickey & Minnie white chocolate wedding cakes for ceremony favors. That's about it from Rosie. She is helping us with some Welcome gifts (personalized robes) and a Mickey Romance Room package for my best friend & husband.
I decided not to preserve the bouquet, as in the endit'll end up collecting dust somewhere-but the photos we'll have forever.
Have a wonderful wedding!!!!!!!:)

I just got married in Epcot, Canada, as part of the new Escape, and I added many additional elements.

For venues, I added Morocco for a welcome party, the Attic for Brunch and Sago Cay for dinner.

For photography, I added dessert party pics for Morocco, Animal Kingdom portrait session, a photojournalistic add on, added an additional hour for the reception, and I upgraded to the Cinderella D collection.

For the floral, I didn't go with any of the "package" options, and instead completely customized all boutonnieres and bouquets. I also added a ton of aisle petals because I thought the ground looked too plain, and I added on wood chairs instead of what comes with the location. I also added columns with lanterns to put more decor into the alter area. We also upgraded to a guitar player from a violin.

I also upgraded my cake to a mad hatter, and had decor at both receptions (not at the welcome party though) and added white chocolate mickey head favours to our dinner reception.

I loved all my upgrades and don't regret any (except I wish I added more, but I didn't have the money anyway :rotfl:)

We're adding:

One or two characters
MK/Epcot shoot & probably the DVD
Guitarist
The Mickey/Minnie ears cake topper
Floral: Because we're not going to use their bouquet/bouttoniers, we're just going to use that allotment for petals and some very light floral on the railings (or maybe just some ribbons)

We're not doing a private dinner or dessert party because we're treating everyone to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and to dinner at the park.

Hi we just faxed our choices!
We are adding on floral for MoH and BM and GM
We are getting our unity candles from them
and i think that's it.
(we are having dinner through disney dining)
seemed like more at the time, but in the end that's all we went for
LUCKILY we get a hi-res cd with our standard photo package or we would have had to add that!
Lx

I was Escape but recently upgraded to Wishes due to the cost of the upgrades - what we decided on for upgrades originally were:
-Dessert Party
-MK Photo Shoot w/CD
-Characters
-Confetti Cannon
-Floral upgrades (for MOH and Best Girl, as well as Altar Arrangement)

We have eliminated some of these and added others now that I have changed to Wishes....but the one thing I would caution anyone on and that I learned through this process is that if you are hovering around the Wishes minimum most of the time it's worth the upgrade of the package! I have gotten so much more "bang for my buck" with the upgraded package!

I was wondering about that! We're doing a VR (premier Escape) and I'm going to try and stay within budget - but I think I may have to compare the two and see where we are money-wise. Thanks for your opinion!!

I basically am doing everything I really wanted (I had to scrap the confetti cannon) - plus a brunch and caricature artist, for pretty close to the same price...

There's so much to choose from it's picking the things you really want!!

We are adding additional flowers for the MOH and all the guys, and extra petals for some staged exit pictures.

We are adding additional photography to the package and we've also booked a dessert party through our planner!

We've booked dinner for the group through Disney Dining as we are using Ohanas.

Everyone's been really accommodating so far as we've tweaked bits and asked sooo many questions, but nothing seems too much!

I am having so many enhancements I am not sure I can remember. We have gone back and forth with Disney on being Escape or Wishes and as it stands today we are Escape even though we are well into the Wishes budget.
*total different flowers
*Rolls Royce
*Mickey & Minnie
*Key West style guitarist
*dessert party with chair covers, glow necklaces & centerpieces
*caricature artist
*lunch at the Napa Room
*Rose petals down the aisle and ribbon & flowers on the handrails on SBP but I think I am taking these out
*outside photographer
*Disney photography at the dessert party
*cake upgrade

We are adding:

bouquet for the MOH and boutineer for the BM

fresh raspberries in the cake

MK/AK photoshoot with the Cinderella D pkg for the hi-res DVD

and we booked our own dinner at V&A's Chef's Table

we also added a memorial arrangement

I upgraded to the photojournalistic package. This was the best decision i ever made. It was expensive but well worth it. I was so happy with the photo's.

I upgraded my bouquet so that it was made of silk. I had a reception at home so was able to use the flowers again and now they make a lovely centerpiece for my living room.

I ordered the mickey drawstring bags, which came in very useful, although you could get something similar from other shops for a whole lot cheaper.

We added an extra hour of the limo use to take us to DTD for our meal in the afternoon.

Everything was perfect the way that we picked. I don't think i would have upgraded anything else.:lovestruc

so glad to hear you can add enhancements to the escape wedding. i no i want to upgrade the cake and maybe add a lil more flowers. im so glad this thread was thought of:goodvibes

are you allowed to give rough prices on here for enhancements? or can i get those elsewhere?

i know its hard to give costs because we all base it on different things, but I wouldnt mind knowing how much

1. a dessert party would be?

2. floral for MOH & BM

We just had our Escape wedding. We upgraded on a few things through Disney:

-floral for MOH, Best Man, Dads' boutineers, Mothers' corsages
-basket of petals for tossing at staged exit
-fresh floral and ribbon on cake

We didn't want to spend a ton and the little enhancements we made were perfect for us!

We made/booked our own:
-sand ceremony
-floral decor for alter table
-outside photographer
-cocktail hour at Mizner's Lounge
-dinner reception at Citricos

1. Dessert Party

-Venue Fee
-hosted soft drinks
-Buffet at $28.50 pp
-Set up fee
-small party fee
-photography package
-2 one way luxury vans

2. Bridal Party Floral

Mine were $75 each for a smaller version of mine.

We looked into a dessert party at Sago Cay Pointe and for 20 guests it would have cost >$1000.

My MOH's Gerber daisy bouquet was $50. The extra boutineers were $12.50 each. I added additional floral to my DH's boutineer and it ended up being $21.50 for his instead of $12.50.

Hope that helps!
