Ladies and Gentleman, if you are having an Escape wedding, fair warning..stay on TOP of EVERYTHING!!!! DO NOT trust that things will go as promised or planned or not planned or bought..you get the idea.
Spent ALOT of money on flowers for Sea Breeze Point and the only thing they put down were petals down the isle(which I got from an outside florist). I was also standing in my dress getting flowers to everyone...shouldnt that be taken care of by a staff member????? Table for the sand ceremony was in the wrong place so my minister used it for a prop/catchall. My reception was moved inside because of possible weather issues but someone failed to tell the the person at the front desk so they sent some of my guests running all around the convention center looking for a wedding that was actually outside and they MISSED THE ENTIRE CEREMONY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :sad2::mad::headache::scared:
GET AN OUTSIDE PHOTOGRAPHER!!! The one we had was pretty terrible. Thank GOD one of my best friends was there to shoot the wedding for me as a gift or I would have been put in jail for hurting the photographer that they assigned to us. I SPECIFICALLY asked for two shots and got NEITHER of them...

I WOULD NOT suggest a disney wedding unless your prepared to babysit EVERYONE involved. I literally wound up taking care of most of the detail of the ceremony ( telling people where to go..answering questions about what to do and when ect..I paid DISNEY to take care of that.) At the end of the reception I looked around for the coordinator to ask a question and she had LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is just a glimpse of the nightmare that was my wedding..hope yours is better.

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience. Do you mind elaborating a bit more, who was your coordinator and photographer (or do you not want to name names since since there are some Disney people who frequent the boards)? I hope that yours was just an off-day but I will keep your experience in mind.

Sorry about the bad experience! I am curious to hear who your planner and photographer were as well.

I just had my Disney wedding 3 months ago and I can't say enough about all those involved.

Wow ! Sorry to hear things didn't go smoothly. Sounds like the weather maybe had things all mixed up. I couldn't have asked for a better wedding than our Escape. Of course we did use Randy and he certainly knew what was going on, so even if our coordinator would have bailed, he would have kept things going for us !! Though the coordinators we had, as well as the violinist and server were all fabulous. Again, sorry to hear things didn't go so well for you. Wait until you get your photos, you might have some good ones in there!

Ouch, that sounds really bad! Have you put in a complaint? Let us know how it all turns out if you do! :scared1:

Oh I'm so sorry your day wasn't all you had hoped it would be.:sad2::sad1:

I would be interested to know if you complained and if so what the eventual outcome will be.

Sorry the day turned out badly - have you complained?

I have never heard of a disney wedding go like this before :confused3

I'm so sorry sweetie!

I often worry about things like this since we are doing an escape wedding. Sometimes i feel that the more $$$ spent the more attention you get. I am glad we have Randy for pictures... i have heard nothing but bad reviews from the disney photogs!

I hope you do complain and I hope an apology comes your way.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience!! I had my vow renewal at Sea Breeze point, reception in St. James hall - and had a very good experience. I also really liked our Disney photographer. I thought he was very detailed and did a great job. I wonder if your day was just "off"?? In any case, you should certainly let your feelings be known to your planner and to DPS. (You probably already have) I wish you the best in the future!

I am so sorry! This is not the kind of thing I want to hear with my vow renewal so close!:scared1:

I am so sorry to hear your day did no go as plan. That was definitely one day when you did not need all that stress.

Oh, it just makes me so angry to read this!

I was married at WDW earlier this year, and it was a ridiculously unprofessional disaster. I haven't even had a single photo printed, as I can't think of our wedding without feeling absolutely sick to my stomach and crying.

They just blew off our complaints afterward.

If it's any consolation, we had a Wishes event, so I don't think it's about the amount of money you throw at them.

Hey guys, I am glad that my husband and I got a chance to have our ceremony. This was our 9th date for the wedding due to his service in the Navy. I don't think that I had unrealistic expectations but I did expect more than what I got. The day started off rough, I got a phone call first thing in the morning from someone who wanted us to bring breakfast to them. Because of stopping to pick up breakfast, I was 5 minutes late getting to my hair appt. They went ahead and started on my mom and mother in law, which put me about 1.5 hours behind schedule. No breakfast or lunch for me..nope too busy taking care of other people..or keeping up with other people. We get to the boardwalk and pictures start, I am trying to talk with my coordinator to explain about the seating (which I had already done a few times before) just to make sure that certain people were kept apart. ect..(nasty divorce). Glad to know that I wasted my breath. It was definitely a cluster %&@$. Then starts the "it's going to rain we need to start early!!!" UH NO!!!! my guests arent there. Some from Tx and Ma. I am not about to start early..that earned me a nasty look from the coordinator. (turns out it BARELY sprinkled and they still missed the ceremony because of some ding-dong at the front desk.) My flowers were non-existant. But on the bright side they decorated my cake table:confused:?????? I honestly cant say that I even remember the name of the photographer. Thank God for Steph taking back up pics for me. After the the other photographer left Steph (Stephowens.com) said that she took alot of backup pics for me because this guy was taking pictures with a parking lot in the background or alot of background trash..something like that. I asked for pictures with my family ect...he was too busy talking with the coordinator to get those. Then again thank GOD for steph and a few other people taking pics with their cameras. I went looking for the coordinator to talk with her about the photography and ask about transportation for everyone and she was GONE!!! HOLY CRAP!!!! I was left with my maid of honor, Steph, my dad and stepmother. Waiting for transportation to get to the reception. I am standing in the hallway of the convention center having not a clue as to where I am supposed to be or where to wait for the Limo..and here comes another wedding. I was so horrified for both the other bride and myself...it was terrible. I was told that wedding parties never cross paths...uuuhhh ok.

We had our reception at Boma. They didnt put out enough chairs and when my last 2 guests arrived (along with the groom) they didnt have a seat. I asked for them to get another 2 chairs. The waiter gave me an aggrevated look and told me he would get them in a few minutes that he was busy at the moment. He had to also get another table and that earned me a sigh of aggrevation for him. Look dude you got like a 200.00 tip. GET MY TWO CHAIRS!!!!!So I got up and stood with my guests. I refused to sit while my guests couldnt. It took so long to get them a seat that my guests (one from TX) almost left. I was MORTIFIED!!!!!!!!!! I was so angry and upset that I barely took a few bites of my food. What a NIGHTMARE!! I am leaving out so many details. I cant even count them.

I am still down here for another 6 days and I will be lodging complaints and dont really want to post details as of yet. I will keep everyone updated on it though.

By the way, how long will it be before I get my proofs?? I havent heard a thing from my coordinator..imagine that.

I'm terribly sorry for your experience, I do hope Disney do something for you to attempt to make up for the stress you and your guests experienced on what should have been your special day.

From reading your account most of the problems simply put seem to be exceptionally bad customer service, which is highly unusual at Disney. It makes you wonder what on earth got into everybody.

I'm pleased there was at least a little ray of light for you.

im so sorry that you had to go through this. I am very curious to hear how disney handles this
