Is there any possibility this ISN"T erroneous information?
A coworker came to me, The WDW expert (LOL!) and asked about the best place to buy tickets for their upcoming trip. I had recently called our local (western MA) AAA office and was told that 6 day PHP was $293 which is a pretty good price. Well she went there to buy it and it was clear the sales person wasn't the most knowledgeble, but even when the supervisor was called over my friend was given the info that when you use a plus, it also uses a park day, and the when the 6 park days are used, the pass is no good, even if you haven't used any of the plusses! Now I know that if I bought the tickets from the Disney store or any number of other outlets that this would not be true. I had actaully pitched on the fact that you could get 9 park days, if you' don't double up. Do some AAA stores get "different" tickets? or do you think it's a case non Disney fanatic employees?

I am pretty sure that a PHP is a PHP and that particular AAA rep had the wrong information. Considering how much there is to know and the even disney CM's get it wrong sometimes I wouldn't be surprised. Perhaps a call to a centeral office or Disney to inquire would be in order.

FWIW we have always used our plus options on a non-park day but this seems to be a common misconception.

I work at an AAA office and our PHPs are the same as any other PHP, the person was probably just confused. We hardly ever sell the 6 and 7 day hoppers (most people want a 1 day ticket  ) so the person probably doesn't get that question very often.

Our friends pretty much got the same response from AAA they were told the plus days expire. I think AAA needs to do some training....

The lucky bums are there right now!

The last time I got 6 day PHP passes from AAA, they were the same as normal passes other than costing me less.

My AAA is generally clueless about the Disney passes they sell, if that helps at all.
