Err... VMK is down. 3/14/07

I can finally get the log in screen sometimes, but now I get a check firewall settings message after waiting through VMK loading.
I think that the hosts will often have a quest open about a half hour after it is scheduled to end, but if we can't get on to play it that won't do us any good. I want to get on to do the quest with my second character, but it doesn't look like I'll get a chance to do that

Edited to say: Now I can't even get the login page.

LOL! I didn't know the answer either. DD was helping me out so I got through before vmk went down. Still had two other character to go though. If it ever does come back up, the answer is the Explorer's Tent. I know we're not supposed to post answers here, but since the quest is pretty much over and vmk is down, I thought it would be okay.

Wouldn't it be nice if quests were extended when vmk goes down like this?

Well, I finally got the log in screen to come up. It went through the entire log in process. Now I'm stuck at a black screen.


Edit: Finally got the disconnected message and the VMK is Closed message.

Mine says the site is too busy...

If my girls didn't go to school today I would have sworn it was Sunday!

I wonder if they'll have to set up a waiting queue like they did for the Jungle Cruise when using some sort of mini requirements for a quest (you must catch 10 ghosts, 15,000 on Jungle Cruise, 3 shells, x number of gas cans, etc.). I'd suspect that this is the cause of the site crashing, everyone trying to get into the same rooms and get their required amount of things.

I got to the log in page and loged in then BSOB! I got to the log in screen because I opened four log in windows.

Why can't I connect to the VMK server?? Every time I manage to get a log in screen to load and try to log in, I wait for a the VMK loading screens, then after VMK had loaded, I get a Cannot connect to the VMK server box that suggests I check my firewall and security settings.
I haven't changed those settings at all recently, and I logged in with the same settings earlier today. So why in the world do I have to wait through VMK loading to be told the I can't connect to the VMK server? Don't I have to be connected to that server for VMK to load?
I meant to get a picture of that message before, but I'll try and remember to get it this time.

.. this is really weird.. its 8:09 by me and vmk supposably closes at 1 am .. really bad, i just logged in and it said that vmk is only open from something to something.. ill try to get a picture..

just talked with my friend through aim.. they're having the same problem..

I've graduated to a dc message followed by a VMK is closed message.

i get in then it tells me that "there is no connection" and behind that message it says "vmk is closed and will open at 10 am -1am" then five seconds later the words change to "vmk is closed because there is a technical problem with the game and/or disney registration"

It's probably just a generic message that's thrown up. VMK is just having major problems right now.

I know it's a generic message, but why give me that one? VMK really needs a "Sorry, but VMK is closed temporarily while we fix something" message that doesn't sound like it's trying to blame my computer but does say that that there is a problem that isn't just me and the computer I'm using. I can check the boards and know that VMK is temporarily down, but someone else might not know about the boards and might keep thinking that the problem is their computer from that message.
Please VMK Staff, after you get VMK back up and runnign today, please create a message like that so people who don't check message boards can understand that the problem is on VMK's end, and not that person's computer.

Guest they not only will give us the quest to finish but now wonder if we will even get tonights host game that starts in 7 mins!
