ereader

There are three main types of e-readers:

  • Sony - available at many retail outlets
  • Amazon Kindle - available at amazon.com and Target stores, nationwide
  • Barnes & Noble Nook - available at B&N Booksellers and at Best Buy stores, nationwide.

I have a kindle and am very happy.

1. My company paid for the device and all of my books go on my company credit card.
2. I like that it is not backlit (I have app on iphone but can't stand to read for very long).
3. It fits in my purse for travel, to doctors office, etc.
4. I can read and turn pages with one hand (my dog thinks other hand belongs on him at all times).

I'm sure I would have been just as happy with any reader but since it's free, I think the kindle is the best one. :rotfl: I carry it in a padded zippered case but I read it without any case.

I have the Sony Touch Edition and love, love, love it! I can't say enough about it. I did tons of research before purchasing it and what sold me was the ability to buy from multiple sites and the borrowing from the library. Plus, being able to hold it and see it helped trmendously. I love the eink feature and prefer not to have the back light. I also like the Sony cover that has the light built into it.

Having shared that, the Nook would have been my second choice. They each have pros and cons about them. Good luck with your choice. You will love having all your books with you.
