SO what did you think about insurrection? I liked this one a bunch also, ER is getting much more interesting, plus Pratt and Abby's brothers can make this more interesting. That was very.. wow... Deb and Pratt.. wow... Ok I can't say much more, sorry cant update my profile yet.. .cause my screencap site is down!

Good show. I am really enjoying it this year. Carter has to decide which nurses will lose their jobs. I think this will cause a major problem between he and Abbey.

Rats I missed it forgot about it and ER is the only show i do like.

maybe next time.

Ds had a 730 football game last night. Missed Friends and ER. Oh well guess I snag it on a rerun.
I must say Im glad the Carter/Susan thing is over. It never looked right to me.

Next week will be interesting.....last nights was good!!!

Can anyone give a quick summary for people like me who slept through it  (missed the end of CSI too !)

Thanks !

brief spoiler --

the hospital is overflowing with patients. apparently another hospital closed.

carter and abbey are definitely together. we met abbey's brother, who stopped into the hospital on his way to reporting for duty --- he's air force reserve and was called up.

people think Luka is still pining for abbey, but it turns out he was involved wtih someone else briefly, but it didn't work out. we see her bring him medical records and they have "words".

a male patient with a migraine kept demanding demerol. finally he got violent and pulled a gun. he put it to che's head and demanded demerol. abbey gave him a shot, and he walked out of the ER -- collapsed a while later and was brought in unconscious by the paramedics.

chen and pratt ahd an encounter in an empty hall, near the candy machine. he offered her comfort after her ordeal but it looks like ther may be an attraction growing.

carter had a tantrum and demanded that weaver order medical detectors. she said "it takes time, I'm working on it." he ordered them himself. she canecelled the order. he staged a walkout. everyone gathered in the parking lot.

during the walkout susan was treating a man dying of Huntington's. his mother was distraught -- she'd lost her husband the same way. susan walked out for a few minutes to talk to carte, leaving the mother alone with the dying man. he died, and the mother was very concerned that no coroner's exam take place (I missed a few minutes -- did she "help" him die?)

weaver relents and orders the metal detectors. when the staff comes inside we see romano, arm in a sling, holding a medical chart. he's been seeing er patients during the walkout.

weaver tells carter that in order to fund the metal detectors he must either shut down the x ray and lab services at night or fire 3 nurses. he must be the one to choose which nurses will go.

Pratt's menatlly disabled brother showed up at the hospital after Pratt was gone. Gallant took him home.

abbey, susan and chen had a "ladies night out." they go to a bar where there's music and dancing. susan is drinking but abbey abstains.when last we saw chen she was dancing on the stage, and throwing herself into the crwod.

Yep, when Susan went outside to talk to Carter, the lady (of the son with Huntington's) turned the ventilator off....he died while Susan was outside, but when Susan came back in, she turned the ventilator on so noone would *question* why it was off.

it also seems that abbey did drink with susan and chen -- even though I saw her tell the waiter "no thanks."

WALK LIKE A MAN
10pm 10/17/02 ALL NEW!
UNGALLANT DR. GALLANT CHAFES OVER FATE AND CARE OF PATIENTS -- Young Dr. Gallant (Sharif Atkins) gets worked up over the callous treatment afforded to an addled elderly patient (guest star Diane Delano) under his repeated care and confronts Dr. Pratt (Mekhi Phifer) when he reports a suicidal Army Ranger (guest star David Barrera) -- whom Gallant promised to protect. Likewise, a protective Dr. Carter (Noah Wyle) is agitated when he discovers that girlfriend Abby (Maura Tierney) downed alcohol while out with her girlfriends. Elsewhere: Dr. Weaver (Laura Innes) just isn't herself as she makes repeated -- and embarrassing -- mistakes; Dr. Kovac (Goran Visnjic) dallies with the mother of a little girl (guest star Alexandra Kyle) facing kidney failure; and Dr. Corday (Alex Kingston) treats the wife of a senior citizen (guest star Willis Burks II) who's suffering from Alzheimer's. Paul McCrane, Ming-Na and Sherry Stingfield also star. TV-14
