Epsilon

add tastefully simple to list!!!!!!!!!!!

I've gotten a half dozen so far, but most disturbin' was after 35 years of trouble free credit card use, Chase called me this mornin' to ask if I made a recent online charge to XXX Asian Beauties. :scared1:

No, I didn't! I use that card at one place 'n only twice a month at most. That card has been cancelled 'n a fraud investigation opened. :mad:

I'm wondering if it is Chase banking customers or Chase credit card customers whose addresses were stolen? I don't do any banking with Chase except for my credit card. I never got an email from them saying my email address was acquired by the hackers, but I did get a phishing email from "Chase" today. It could be a coincidence that I got this fake email, or it could be that Chase never bothered to tell me my info was stolen.

Got this a few days ago from Chase Credit Cards:

Chase is letting our customers know that we have been informed by Epsilon, a vendor we use to send e-mails, that an unauthorized person outside Epsilon accessed files that included e-mail addresses of some Chase customers. We have a team at Epsilon investigating and we are confident that the information that was retrieved included some Chase customer e-mail addresses, but did not include any customer account or financial information. Based on everything we know, your accounts and confidential information remain secure. As always, we are advising our customers of everything we know as we know it, and will keep you informed on what impact, if any, this will have on you.
etc, etc.

I got a notice from Chase. I do not have an account with their bank other than a Chase credit card.

Increase mine to 8.
Just got one from Capital One credit card who we aren't with any longer.

We got Chase too and we are credit card customers.

I opened this thread to see if it was worthy of a thumbs down.

:rotfl2::worship:

I received a lot of the Epsilon e-mails and I have had some spam e-mails. I rarely have spam at this e-mail address, so it might be related, but they're really obvious.

Capital One also this morning. I'm not impressed that it took them DAYS longer to notify me than some of the other companies mentioned on this thread.
