I truly enjoyed this report. You have my sympathy--we've been victimized by the weather gods at WDW (rain, hurricanes, tornadoes, ice (not all in the same trip)) so often that I carry my yellow poncho with me!

I really loved the mental image of the peeps, though! My poncho is almost 20 years old, and still functional! Of course, I hope I won't be using it in two weeks when I get to PO Riverside!

We had a trip which was 10 days, the last five of which were completely wet. It was Dec. 99. The beginning of the effects of El Nino on the weather . It literally poured the entire day and night. We were soaked completely through. My poor son, who was 2 at the time, sat in the stroller and refused to sit back under the hood which we had covered in a poncho so the effect was like he was sitting under the edge of a rain gutter... for 5 days. IT's a miracle none of us didn't get sick. Sounds like your first day was a lot like that. I know how tough it is to keep your spirits up under those conditions. Hope you were able to keep smiling!
