From other people's reviews on reddit, they have not been giving the "exclusive behind-the-scenes experience" that is in the small print. If they didn't on your tour, did anyone complain about that? ThanksDid the VIP Tour a few weeks ago on a busy weekend day.
Started at 2pm and ended around 545pm.
Order of attractions
1) Dragon Coaster
2) Dragon Flyer
3) Stardust (one side)
4) Frankenstein
5) Wolfman
6) Ministry
7) Donkey Kong
8) Mario Kart
Then could use the Express Pass before or after the tour.
EP was not good for Dragon Coaster, Ministry, or Donkey Kong.
Had a GREAT time paid $600, not sure I would pay for it again (only had one day at the park), as the Express Pass before and after cannot be used on the 3 rides above or anything is USF and IOA.
Seems like alot of the guests were puchasing the tour on the same day due to how crowded it was, how long the lines were, and not being able to get VQ for Ministry.
On Monsters Unchained they took us through a backstage stairwell before the preshow. From other people's reviews on reddit, they have not been giving the "exclusive behind-the-scenes experience" that is in the small print. If they didn't on your tour, did anyone complain about that? Thanks
Make sure to bring a good quality cooling towel (like the Frogg Toggs ones). That towel saved me in the Florida heat.Yes, please keep us updated. I couldn't quite bring myself to do the VIP, so we purchased Express. But we are going in August and only have one day at Epic, and I am already scared of the oppressive heat and humidity combo. My husband and daughter will power on with no problem, but this Meno Mama isn't quite agile or resilient as she used to be![]()

FYI: this sounds like the tour of the original two parks and NOT Epic U.We are doing a private one in July. Expensive- yes. Hopefully will mitigate some of the issues, as the guide will have info on what's working and what we can do when the afternoon storms roll through, etc. We were going to be there fir a disney cruise, and this will be a surprise add on for my grandkids. Im not as young as I used to be and anything that will streamline the experience especially with the heat and crowds is worth it to me at this point in my life.
Party of 4 in mid July $5,536.94
We chose a 930 start time
Includes
Valet parking if coming by car.
Complimentary breakfast will be available during check-in at Club Jupiter. Your tour will begin promptly after the complimentary breakfast.
Mid-way through your Private VIP Experience there will be a 1 hour break for lunch. A dinner is also included and may be used upon the conclusion of your tour. Choices include both Full-Service and Quick Service dining locations:
Your Private VIP Experience can last up to 8 consecutive hours during which you will receive immediate VIP Entry onto the rides and attractions your party are most interested in visiting, as well as access to select backstage and behind the scenes areas.
You also get Express for the rest of the day after your tour.
I figure we will eat after tour and then revisit the HP area for more spell fun, and if see what else we want to do,shop?. Maybe if something was down during tour we could ride with express.
We did a trip to Universal last summer with my grands and their mom ( super Harry Potter Fan.)and did Studios, IOA, and Volcano Bay at that time.
When the single day tickets were released, I went for it. We've done a VIP at Disney a couple of years ago. But they don't feed you and you use the LL. It was fun, for sure and nice not to have your face in your phone all day.
Nope, I this one is for Epic only. I know they do them in the other parks also. But this trip we are just doing Epic - we came last summer and did the other ones,no CIP but had Ecpress passes through Hard Rock hotel stayFYI: this sounds like the tour of the original two parks and NOT Epic U.
I stand corrected! Have a blast!!!Nope, I this one is for Epic only. I know they do them in the other parks also. But this trip we are just doing Epic - we came last summer and did the other ones,no CIP but had Ecpress passes through Hard Rock hotel stay
The title in bold on my confirmation
Below is the information on file for your Universal Epic Universe VIP Experience:
My confirm also contains info about where to meet and about the restaurants in Epic
Same here- going July 3. I think on that day specifically, this will be very necessary to get on more than a couple rides!I am booked for non-private in October. I booked thru UT since they have the 95% refund policy (and it was cheaper than direct since UO just raised the prices). I'll wait to hear more feedback as we get closer to October. VIP was $270 more than Express. I like to think of it as a premium to (hopefully) ride Ministry and Mine Cart, and then ideally everything else twice. I only do Universal every few years so while the cost per ride may not be great, I suppose I'd rather spend the extra money to have a good time without waiting in lines than not spend the money and regret not being able to do everything in one day. We'll see how attendance and ride downtime is these next months, though!
I will provide a full report in early July. Semi-private, but I'll still give a thorough review.Anyone doing a private tour this summer, please come back and update afterwards! We’re doing one in the fall and I’m curious to get opinions/tips.
Will do, as soon ascI get back home- which will be early August -Anyone doing a private tour this summer, please come back and update afterwards! We’re doing one in the fall and I’m curious to get opinions/tips.
I was under the impression that the EP could be used for Hiccup's Winged Gliders. Is that not the case?Did the VIP Tour a few weeks ago on a busy weekend day.

It is.I was under the impression that the EP could be used for Hiccup's Winged Gliders. Is that not the case?
Oh, DRR is the good one right? I’m getting the two mixed up. It’s a shame the EP doesn’t work on 3 of the best rides. It is.
Dragons Racers Rally isn't included with Express Pass
