I JUST DEFEATED THAT BLASTED PIRATE!!!!!

I have to share that. omg, I am slow and not very good at epic mickey and that pirate with the spinney arms/knives was so hard for me! I couldn't believe it when he finally (finally!) died. wooo-hooooo!!!!!!!!!

does anybody else struggle with some of the fights?

If you avoid the bad guys and just fill all of the pumps with paint, the machine starts working and turns the spinny knife pirate guy back into a person. Then you can thin or befriend the regular bad guys without all that stress.

I got so pissed off at tomorrowcity I haven't touched the game in a month. After three days of fighting the same thing over and over I just decided to give myself a break.

laughinplace, I have no idea what you are talking about. must be at a different place, because where I am there are no pumps, and you have to defeat all the bad guys for starkey in order to finish that quest.

mrsjacksparrow, which guy gave you problems? I have to say so far tomorrowcity was not my favorite area. and I ended up rushing thru the last section of it inadvertantly. missed a ton of side quests in the rocket area. but to be honest, I am not all that sad about it. I'm enjoying ventureland much more!!!! but that pirate was KILLING me. (literally...over and over and over and over and over...lol)

Sadly, it is the metal spider things that are giving me grief. I always seem to get mobbed by 3 or 4 of them at the same time. Lord help me when I actually get to a real bad guy.

Ah yes, that stupid pirate. I died about 50 times before killing him. On the 10th one, at least I figured out to kill him first before doing everything else and having to start over each time.

Those spider things in Tomorrowland/people mover area are easy to avoid, you have to do things slightly out of order but you can make it through without killing them.

I'm at the Mad Doctor area and it's like every really hard bad guy ever. I'm struggling but I remembered last night, after I turned it off, that anvils can kill the really bad guys in one swoop. So, I might try that!

yep, just avoid those spider things (cannot think of what they are called!) I HATED that section that you are in, kept falling off the edge. so finally I stopped trying to kill them at all and did the rest of it and got the heck out of dodge.

it helped me. of course, they make killing the spiders look super easy, and I did try a couple more times, but finally just gave up and was able to accomplish everything else w/o dealing with them. the spiders don't follow you up the ramps, so just stay high and when you are down low, move fast and sneak around them.

bekkiz, I'm glad I'm not alone with the pirate! such a good feeling finally getting him. good luck with the mad dr. I just keep telling myself that I was able to kill things I felt were impossible at first. worse comes to worse I can always have my 8 year old son do it. it kills me, but he always makes things that are so hard for me to do look sooooo easy when he does them.

I finally gave up and had my DS kill him for me.

I just finished the game this morning. Started again this afternoon and things that took me hours before I did in minutes.

When my language got to the point I was saying more four letter words than not I decided to go do other things for awhile .

GREAT job Allison!!!!!!! very impressive. and yeah, I laugh at some of the things early on that took me a while to be able to do. now I can do them so easily.

Sorry! I was thinking of Skull Island. It took me forever to kill the pirate spinny guy in the jungle too. At least now you'll know what to do when you get to Skull Island, or Skull Rock, whatever it is.

Do you have any TV's to use? If you drop a TV, the bad guys will go and watch for a few minutes, which can give you time to kill/befriend them or sneak by unnoticed. I apologize if you already knew this. I didn't pay attention to the Tv's at first and my DD11 had to explain them to me.

I would have never finished if my kids hadn't helped. I was a Wii newbie (except for Animal Crossing) so I had never done jumps or battles or any of that stuff.
