Epcot's World Showcase

Oh man I dont think I could decide. Almost each country has something I love.
Mexico-I love the little boat ride and the "nightime village"
China-love this shop
Germany-love the cookoo clock shop
Norway-love the ride and the bakery
France-like the houseware shop and the bakery
UK-love the shops
Ok I see a trend here I apparently like to shop and eat! lol

Belgium!!!!................; :teeth:

Once they add it...

(OK, Only goofing around, but if they would add it - BEST Chocolates ever, and fries from the land that invented them....) :thumbsup2

I think they all offer something that I liked about each country. However, I do think the American pavilion could use some udating but that is just my opinion. :wave2:

I love Morocco because it seems "different" to me...lots to see, good food, too, and I also love UK because it feels like home (as does the REAL UK!) :)

UK - Rose and Crown (Great BEER)
France. Great Movie, reminds me of Paris (which I love)
China - Another great movie
Morroco Exoctic

(I went once with male co-workers, I think they would vote for Norway... cute blondes LOL!)

I agree. Every country has something specific that I like
for example:

Germany-the railroad
Norway-the food (especially the rice cream)
England-the shops
France-the show
China-the jewelry

Japan, Mexico, and Norway are the best ones, IMHO.

Japan has the best set. The quiet water garden is an amazing retreat nestled in a noisy theme park. The gift shop is always a must for us too. It has such diverse offeings, unike some of the other lands. The dining is great too, but I wish the QS restaurant had more sushi.

Mexico and Norway are the only countries with rides. The Norway ride is better, but I love the interior of the Mexico building. On a hot day, it is another cool oasis. During the flower festival , they have an amazing selection of orchids outside in the trees.

I'm not into Norwegian entrees, but the bakery is great. The CM's working there are always friendly. The gift shop leaves something to be desired though - WAY overpriced. They'd sell a ton of the Viking helmets and swords if they were priced a little lower. Compare goods in Norway to goods in Japan's gift shop. You can get all sorts of great things in the under $10 range in Japan.

Italy is the weakest, IMHO. Italy is a great country, but you don't get that impression from the WS. They REALLY need a QS restaurant with Italian panini, sample-size servings of fresh pasta, roasted eggplant, and real lemon granita. Oh, and it has to close for siesta in the afternoon!

i really enjoyed seeing how the Imagineers portrayed the UK....that was fun, but I really liked France, it was so pretty and laid back....and that's where I met Belle (for the first time at the age of 18! )

Trying to pick which country is best in World Showcase at Epcot is like trying to pick the best candy bar ever made. It is a matter of personal opinion, and many of them have strenghths. Also, is it possible to talk to some one who has spent equal time in each country. They all vary in what they offer, and it would be impossible to spend a hour in each of them in the course of one day because the Showcase is not open for 11 hours each day.
I will tell you what I preferred. Norway has the best ride, USA has the best show/ presentation, Germany had outstanding food (I can't say best, because I didn't eat in every country, only 4 of them), Germany had my favorite shop, and UK had the best beer (I am biased towards Guiness).
My advice for someone new to the showcase is to gravitate towards the country that offers food that you know you like. It may turn out that Epcot serves the best version of that food you have ever eaten. The Biergarten in Germany definately had the best German food I have ever eaten. Also, if you like boat rides, make sure to head to Mexico and Norway. If you like American History, head to U.S. If you like movies, visit China, France, and Canada (only France has a sitdown theatre). If you like to shop for unique items from around the world, skip the movies and attractions, and stroll thorough each country hitting all of the shops. The gift shops at the front of the showcase feature a variety of items that depict the showcase as a whole. Each country has items that you can only find in their shops.
If you want to do everything I described, plan to spend 2 or 3 days at Epcot. We devoted 2 days to Epcot (remember, it also has Fututre World), and we still could have used at least another half day. Good luck and have fun.

We like England (for the pub and shops) Norway, Italy and Gremany the best.

I think for us it was Morocco it was just so realistic right down to the indoor/outdoor shops!

British Invasion and Off Kilter
United Kingdom and Canada

However I do enjoy Moroccco (belly dancers) too and then there's Japan drummers and the Chinese acrobats are good too

Norway and Mexico have the boat rides

This Aug will be our first time eating sitdown in Italy and France
Each time I go I find more and more in the World Showcase
