Epcot is a wonderful park and definitely worth going to. When my children were younger it was their second favorite park. I will say any of the dark rides at WDW scared my 5 yr old at the time but we had a really good time. We did not do World Showcase that time and I missed it but with them being so young it really wasn't a biggie.

There is plenty at Epcot your 6 yr old would enjoy if you have the time :).

My 5 year old actually loves Epcot more than MK! I never expected that. I'll tell you some of his favorite things....

My son really loves to learn about things. He really loves the countries and that was a total surprise to me. We have APs and everytime we go, I ask him where he wants to go...and he says the countries in Epcot! He LOVES that ride in Mexico. Head to the countries and get one of those little Duffy coloring things on a stick that they can color. Each country will stamp them. Also, you can buy a passport that they can stamp. He also likes to try on a hat from each country and have me take his picture. Lastly, the Kim Possible is a real fun way for the kids to learn about the countries. Make sure you do this before heading over!

The Land is also one of his favorite places. He LOVES the slow boat ride that tells you all about how they grow vegetables. I'm not sure why he loves this so much but he's completely entranced by it. Also took him on Soarin last time and he really loved that too.

Nemo and Turtle Talk with Crush. This one is just a given. It's adorable in everyway. He loves to look at the aquarium too.

Test Track....this may or may not be too much for little ones. But my little guys likes things that go fast so he loves this.

Innoventions, both of these places are awesome and have a lot of cool things for kids to learn and explore.

Character Meet and Greet is great at Epcot. The lines are generally smaller here than MK.

The Imagination Pavillion sucks now, imo, and my kid doesn't really care for it. But the fountains are still fun.

Things he hates..... Spaceship Earth. I don't quite get why he's so scared of this yet loves Test Track. But he doesn't like dark things so this ride freaked him out. He also wasn't into the space mission one, energy, or the EO thing. So we skip those.

I would not skip Epcot. My brother (12 now) and I loved it when we were younger. He loved Spaceship Earth, Innovations, the soda tasting location (forget the official name), the Land, Nemo and Friends, the Ellen ride, and the countries. They try to make the countries fun for little ones too. They have a large- scale train display in Germany, the ride in Norway and Mexico is fun, they now have the Kim Possible attraction throughout the World Showcase, and of course they have Duffy the Bear "masks". Spaceship Earth was recently updated and now part of it is interactive so I think your six year old would really like it. I would not worry about wasting a day because there are way too many things to do there.

Absolutely worth to go.:cool1:

Thanks so much! Was thinking about skipping it but now will definately go!

YES, please go. Do not skip EPCOT, absolutely wonderful.

And.....with your 14 month old it is probably the easiest of the parks to push a stroller around because of the wide open areas in Future World and wide wide walking area around the countries in World Showcase.

For a great fun meal with Mickey, Pluto, and Chip and Dale make reservations at Garden Grill in The Land Pavillion. Excellent country style all you can eat meal on a revolving dining room. Bring your camera and you will get some of the best character pictures of your vacation...

And, yes, do not miss Turtle Talk with Crush in the Living Seas. My wife and I will go to this over and over during our 3 month stay, sit in the back and just marvel at each Crush show being different and the how the kids react.

Also, your 6 y/o can get a "Passport" at any gift shop. and as they enter each country they will get it validated by a young person dressed in native costume and end up with a great souvineer of EPCOT and put together a souvineer mask of World Showcase.

Enjoy...Ted
