I'm working out my sit down dinner reservations, and seem to be stuck on the epcot choices (world showcase side). The problem is two finicky eaters, who will this year be selecting from the "adult" menu, because of their ages.

I 've been reading menus, and keep seeing words that will scare them, like; "Caramelized" , "poached", fancy suaces, dreaded fish and vegatables.

I was wondering if anyone had suggestions for sit down meal locations, that would appeal to kids who like things plain. And does not serve a $40 mac and chese.

Are paying OOP??? You mentioned expensive mac n' cheese but you also said your kids would be considered adults at disney. if your paying OOP, your kids can still order the kids meals.

Chefs/France has a nice lunch menu. They have croque monsieur which is a ham & cheese sandwich. They also have burgers at lunch. Lunch is quite affordable too.

Teppan Edo food is very simple and plain. Their filet mignon is amazing, so is the chicken, noodles, and they have plain rice. Its kinda pricey for what you get thou.

Have you considered Biergarten? its a buffet. Its pretty good. At Biergarten i'd go with lunch. Not dinner. Its almost the same at a fraction of the price.

Also, Via Napoli. A personal size pizza gives 4 massive slices that can easily be shared between the two kids. I think its $18.

Check out the menu for more restaurants on www.allears.net.

Thanks for those. I think you nailed it. France looks like a good lunch option, and I would not have expected Japan to be such a good fit for dinner.

Teppan Edo is good, and most restaurants are great at altering the entrees to make something they will like. Le Cellier offered to make my older son the Filet with no sauce and fries instead of risotto and mushroom sauce. If they like steak :lovestruc Even the kids meal steak was good.

Just another idea/option for you. Since you're thinking World Showcase, you might think about The Boardwalk area. It's an easy walk from the back entrance of EPCOT (near England). Beach Club resort has Cape May restaurant and there's ESPN on the Boardwalk.

The pizza at Via Napoli was to die for!! Had we gone earlier in our trip, we would have gone again! My kids dream of it! :rotfl2:

I agree with this whole list except for Biergarten only because we haven't eaten there before (my DH is not into the German food either). My kids are 10 and 8 and are picky in their own way...my 10 year old doesn't like marinara sauces but loves red meat, while my 8 year old doesn't care for red meat at all. They both really liked Teppan Edo when we went on our last trip (8 year old liked the udon noodles and veggies while 10 year old got the steak). The nice thing about Teppan Edo is that they cook everything plain (with the exception of some salt and pepper that they add) then they give you 3 different kinds of dipping sauces that could be used or not.

Is there a reason it has to be in World Showcase? Since you're already at Epcot, how about Garden Grill?

My somewhat picky 13 year old had many dished made plain for him...even at signature places. The wait staff was always great with requests of "plain" and "fries instead of mashed" and "fries on seperate plate from the med-rare steak so the juices do not touch the fries"...I wouldn't stress too much abou tit...if they cannot find something they like, the way it's presented, the venue will be more than accepting to making something the will eat!
