Epcot without Soarin...will anyone bother

I noticed on the Touring Plans blog a side comment that some think without Soarin all the "attractions" (I'm using that word loosely) in Future World of Epcot will see a decline. I have noted on these boards my lack of interest in Epcot (from year 1 btw), so I don't think I'm in any position to assess this, but I am curious. Do you think without Soarin' that Future World will become a ghost town? Or at best, a brief stop on the way to the World Showcase?

We will be going to EPCOT, but I do feel like without Soarin' there's not a lot to do. I guess it will be okay since it sounds like we will wait longer in lines and that will use up time till Illuminations...

We've had to skip Soarin' every time we've been to EPCOT because of motion illness issues in travel party. (Which is unfortunate because I'd like to try it at least once.)

That being said, yep, we'll still "bother". There are a few things we love to do in Future World, but World Showcase is the true attraction there for us.

The World Showcase might be my favorite part of WDW. We miss Soarin' more often than we ride it, so it's closure won't have an effect on our next trip. We'll use that FP for Test Track instead.

Won't change my touring plans at all... love EPCOT and end up there multiple times each trip.

For me, Epcot is more about atmosphere than attractions anyway, so not a big deal. It's all about World Showcase. I'm hoping that after Toy Story/Star Wars Disney will throw some much needed cash and innovation Epcot's way, and make FW relevant again. That being said, I'm excited to try the new-and-improved Soarin' when it opens!

EPCOT is my favorite park, with or without soarin so, yup, we'll still spend most of of time there.

I haven't been to WDW since 2004, so Soarin didn't even exist then. This time, it will be closed for refurb. Epcot has reigned as my favorite park ever since my first visit and I can't wait to go back, Soarin or not! Perhaps I care less because I've never been on it, but Epcot still has a lot to offer!

As you can see, OP, there are a lot of people who consider Epcot to be their favorite park. And a lot more who think that FW has more going for it than Soarin.
