Epcot vs HS - Overwhelmed with Crowd Levels and Scheduling

Very late August will likely be less crowded than early August, so you're doing well there. As August moves on, more and more kids return to school, and as a general rule, parents typically want to let their kids get a bit of a new school year/routine under their belt before they start taking them out for trips. (Mind you, there are year round schools and some that start in late July, but late August and very early Sept. is still a big Back to School time.)

And I'd say that's really all you can say about projected crowd levels--especially on a weekend, since that involves more locals flocking to WDW, especially Epcot. I'd go with what works for you and not worry a bit about the calendars. I just don't think they are all that helpful. :)

I’d definitely do HS your first morning because if you do not get a bg that day for RotR then you can try again your second morning if you want to.

Thanks....yeah, they are just predictions. And you can go crazy too since if you look at multiple crowd calendars, they often conflict and have different predictions.

Good point. For us, if we don't get a BG on the Friday, we'll just skip it. We only have 3 park days (plus arrival day on our flight), so do want to hit Epcot too. But that is a good strategy for anyone who has the days to spare or flexible to more around.
