Have read that Epcot has a nightly tree lighting during the xmas holidays. Would love to hear more about it from anyone thats gone in the past.
Thanks::yes::

At about 6 pm, the tree is lit. The tree is at the end of the walkway from Futureworld into World Showcase. THere are characters there and some CMs who sing different songs from different countries. It is a cute show. And really quite pretty. It takes about 15 minutes or so, if I remember correctly. It is one of the prettiest sights I think.....walking down that walkway, with the beautiful holiday lights over it, and the tree at the end. But, keep in mind that there are a lot of people there. It gets really crowded!!

Yes, please go to the tree lighting at EPCOT - It is very nice.

They light the arch at that time too. Not to be missed.

When do they start doing this?? We will be there for Thanksgiving & am wondering if it will begin then.

I remember 2 yrs ago my DH & 3 older kids came down 3 days after I did with my 3 younger kids...I was just amazed at how the Christmas decorations just appeared at MK overnight!! My DH didn't believe they wern't there the day before! This year he will see!

I think they do begin this on Thanksgiving. Yes, it's wonderful-the most teary eyed I've ever gotten at WDW. Moved me even more than the CP, for some reason.

There are some holiday decorations up way before Thanksgiving but when you wake up on Friday morning, everything is in "Holiday Mode"!!!! It's quite magical.
