Epcot touring plan question

Forgive me from hijacking your thread, chicagogrl, but I'm just wondering if its crazy to try to do Soarin' and TT at rope drop without FP+? I currently have a Soarin' FP+ for later that afternoon (would like to ride it twice) . . .
We will be there October 1. I entered my info into Touring Plans and it has me with a 15 minute standby wait at Soarin at rope drop and then a 28 minute standby wait at TT immediately after. I can do 28 minutes, but really wouldn't want to wait any longer than that . . .

It wouldn't be crazy to try that.

That's what we usually do BUT, we typically use the single rider line at TT, so our wait there is not that long.

We have often been in the first wave at Soarin, then gone from there to TT and from there to MS and been through with all 3 of them by a little after 10. Going standby at TT would obviously slow that down.

If you went to TT first and then to Soarin, but decided that the line there was too long, at least you'd get to do each of them once.

We're a group of 4 adults so we could certainly do single rider at TT if the wait is too long.
