I'd like to catch Wishes from the Trader Sam's patio on a Mon night coming from F&W at Epcot. Wishes is slated to run at 10pm so I'm thinking we will have to leave Epcot around 8:30pm, catch the monorail to TTC and walk from there to Trader Sam's. Sound about right? Is 8:30pm unnecessarily early? We'll have one shot at this so I know maybe it works maybe it doesn't but I'd like to increase my chances of success. Also, can you see the electrical water parade from the patio?

Way early! The monorail takes 6 minutes (yep timed it many times) and the walk to the great ceremonial house is 5-7 minutes. Give a little extra time for unexpected things but 40 minutes should be lots. Yes, the electrical water parade can be seen from the patio (Tiki Terrace). Keep in mind that the grotto and terrace are separate spots. You have to exit the grotto, giving up your spot, and walk around to the terrace to see the parade.

Trader Sam's Grotto seats 51 and the terrace is much larger. The same drinks can be gotten on the terrace but without the show elements.

I have left Epcot around 9:40 and still made it to the Poly, but that would be cutting it too close for a one chance type of thing. I would recommend leaving around 9- that should give you plenty of time to make it to the terrace, grab a seat and order a drink before the fireworks.

It worked for us in the past to get a buzzer for the grotto around 9:40, watch Wishes, and then head inside for a drink with the special effects if that's what you're looking for.
