What is the best routes to get from Epcot to HS and DTD? We have never done DTD and prior did buses from park to park (except MK) and heard we could walk from Epcot???

Also, best places to stand for MK parades & Epcot Fireworks? We usually stand either Main Street or Hub and no more of that people are pushy and crazy! So looking for new place :)

Thank you!

If walking from Epcot to HS..... How far is the walk? And do we exist main gate or is there a path?

You'd exit Epcot's International Gateway (between UK and France in Epcot's World Showcase.)

Figure the walk on the pathway DHS to take about 30 minutes.

If you want to walk from Epcot to HS, you should exit via the International Gateway in World Showcase. This will take you past the Beach Club and all the way to the Studios. I did this walk a couple of times in 2009 and it's not bad.

Not really past the Beach Club, but it does go past the Boardwalk.

So technically, we could hit Epcot for Soarin and then a walk through DTD and then on to Hollywood? Would this be doable or am I asking for too much in one day?

FYI we will be there 17 days with 10 day tickets. We are wanting to mix things up a bit this trip. We do have more than one day in Epcot & HS planned or split a few days or just whatever :)

You can also take a boat from EP to DHS. Again, you would walk out through the International Gateway and the boat is directly to your left. The boat will stop at Boardwalk, YC/BC and Swan/Dolphin before going to DHS.

You can also do the boat in reverse to catch a bus to DTD. If you take the boat, simply get off at Swan/Dolphin (first stop after DHS) and take the bus from either the Swan or Dolphin.

If walking from DHS to a resort to catch the bus, Boardwalk Inn is your closest bet. When walking toward BWI, I recommend cutting through the BWI main pool area (you will see the big roller coaster slide). It will cut a few minutes off your walk to the main lobby area to catch the bus.

OR!! Take a cab from DHS to DTD, it will save you a TON of transportation time!

Nope. Not if you mean in one "walk."

Boardwalk is not a part of DTD.

I'm concerned about your plan for DTD. DTD is Downtown Disney which is nowhere near EP and you CANNOT walk to it from there. You will need to take a bus to DTD from one of the EP resorts (our the International Gateway) if you're wanting to go from EP. OR you could take a bus from EP (out the front gate) to one of the resorts near DTD and walk, boat, or bus from there.

Well my husband and I thank you VERY MUCH!!!

Walk. the wlak takes about 20 minutes for most people and is slightly over a mile by cutting through the Clown Pool at the boardwlak

This is how you want to cut through the pool

Thanks! Yes, I see that now. I thought at first the boardwalk was DTD but Robo cleared that up for me :)

Me personally, I'd take the boat from Epcot to Hollywood Studios. The boat ride and the walk take about the same amount of time, the boat ride is pleasant and you are going to do so much walking at Disney I wouldn't voluntarily take on more. You certainly CAN walk, and we have made the walk from Yacht Club to Hollywood Studios (which is a bit shorter than from Epcot to Hollywood Studios) first thing in the morning, but after spending time at Epcot just take the boat.

The BEST way to get from Epcot to Downtown Disney (if "quickest" = "best") is to walk out the International Gateway to Beach Club and then take a cab to Downtown Disney. That will cost about $20 but you potentially save a ton of time as buses to Downtown Disney don't (at least to me) seem to run as regularly and you might have several stops on the way.

LOVE, love the satellite view maps!! Makes me wish I could bring one of you with me on my first trip next week. ;-)
