There is a bus to FW, however when you get there you have to get on an internal bus to get over to the HDDR area, we have always used the boat from MK this drops you off really close to the HDDR. Reading on here is does not sound to difficult to take the internal bus once you get to FW

Yes but you have to switch monorails at the ticket and transportation center so takes some time. You can do that but might be longer, either way I would give myself a good hour or more to get to the HDDR. The boat is really relaxing once you get to it lol!

as others have said you can take the bus from EPCOT to Fort Wilderness and take the internal bus any color. bus will stop at loops along the way and you will have a short walk from bus stop to Hoop Dee Doo

There is no bus from Epcot to MK
You have to take the Monorail to TTC and then wait for a Monorail to MK. Then go to the boat dock and boat to FW. I would plan on 90 minutes travel to be safe.
Or you can take a bus from Epcot straight to FW and then the internal bus to Pioneer Hall. Still leave a good amount of travel time
