Epcot to Boardwalk

I've read somewhere that you can walk through to the Boardwalk from Epcot.Is this true,and if so how ?

Yes you can leave Epcot through the International gateway at the back right hand side of the park and walk over to Boardwalk and all the other resorts in that area like Beach Club, Yacht Club and Swan and dolphin.

And if you're really feeling energetic and haven't walked enough during your Disney day, you can continue your walk along the water behind boardwalk for about 10 minutes to Disney MGM Studios too.
